Your memories lay quiet on the bedside,
Remembering a time when your bones did whatever they were told.
And like a movie replaying in my mind,
I hear a broken queen, her eyes they shout and scream upon deaf ears.

Well ive heard the words of everything that you have ever done,
I hope you had fun.
And i wish that id have burned down that god damn bed,
It only took one.

Well dont you go losing sleep sweetheart,
You were young and dumb, but now im wondering what is your excuse?
And my arms look like scoreboards,
Making tallies, keeping score of all the boys that you like more than me.

Well ive heard the words of everything that you have ever done,
I hope you had fun.
And i wish that id have burned down that god damn bed,
It only took one.

Well ive heard the words of everything that you have ever done,
I hope you had fun.
And i wish that id have burned down that god damn bed,
It only took one.

My InterpretationGreat song with amazing lyrics. It doesn't suprise me coming from Cash. I think the song could be about a relationship gone wrong or a cheating spouse.
"Your memories lay weary on the bedside, remembering a time when your bones did whatever they were told." It sounds like the person had no self control and did whatever someone told them to do and now all that are left are memories of what had happened.
"I wish that id have burn down that god damn bed."
Again, sounds like cheating. Amazing lyrics.

General CommentI agree with Ca55adaga. This is a very dark and haunting song. Very beautiful. I love it!
