I've been trying to get my head around,
What the fuck is happening?
I'm trying to make some sense out of
What you're doing with my head.

It's like a skydive
Or getting high
The kinda thing'll maybe kill you.
It's like I'm eye-to-eye
With a wild lion.
Oh,
I don't know what to tell you.

There's just this thing about you.

So maybe you can help me clear this up,
Cause me myself I just can't tell.
Are you some kind of dark sorcerer
Am I under some kinda of spell?

'Cause I could go on for days,
Just crazy about it, oh,
You're so respectable,
A little animal.

It's like a skydive
Or getting high
The kinda thing'll maybe kill you.
It's like I'm eye-to-eye
With a wild lion.
Oh,
I don't know what to tell you.

There's just this thing about you,

So are you gonna tell me what comes next,
Or am I just supposed to know?
Do I make my own decisions here,
Or am I under your control?

'Cause I been like this for days,
Just crazy about it, oh,
And it's startin' to get, you know,
A little uncomfortable,

It's like a skydive
Or getting high
The kinda thing'll maybe kill you.
It's like I'm eye-to-eye
With a wild lion.
Oh,
I don't know what to tell you.

Do you think I'm out of line?
Do you think I'm out of line?
Well maybe it's fine, maybe it's alright it's like I'm eye-to-eye with a wild lion,
Yeah I don't know what to tell you.
I don't know what to tell you.

There's just this thing about 'cha

Love the odd time, early '70s psychedelia sound, and super high pitch solo. Awesome song.

I feel like this song resembles how descartes views the "evil genius" in his first meditation before he found his foundation..

descartes began his meditations by doubting everything he knew.. even his current state of awareness or existence all together.. he then formulated that perhaps there was an evil genius deceiving every sense he has (think the matrix).. ehh just a thought maybe im looking wayyy to into it.. id rather it have a cooler meaning so even if they didn't purposefully make it about that it goes well..

I think he says at the beginning "I've been tryin' to get my head AROUND what the fuck is happening." Also, "I've been tryin' to make some sense OUT OF what you're doin' with my head."

Anyway, incredible song, and I'm so excited for the new album :) OK Go never fails to bring the heat. They're my favorite band, and they just keep getting better without ever putting an album to shame.

Great song, pretty good album. Can't say I was expecting much less when Dave Fridmann was announced as the producer. Just about everything he touches is golden..

I totally agree with "ContemporaryDecayEmbodiment" This song's strange, off-beat rhythm, right behind such a fuzzy/dirty guitar sounds fucking amazing! It's got such a trippy and mellow groove to it. I give this song a 5 star rating!

Now, as far as the song meaning goes... To me, it's as if he's so drawn/captivated/gravitated toward this chick, but he knows for certain that she's just fucking dangerous! But he's lured to her and just can't help but dig her anyway. He's saying that being with her is extremely exciting and could possibly be life threatening as in when he compares her to "skydiving," "face to face with a wild lion," or even "getting high." But he wants to give her a try anyways, because "There's just this thing about you"

Great song. And the video is pretty cool as well.

I think that the second "The kinda thing'll maybe kill you." should be "The kinda thrill that could just kill ya"
And the the word 'thing' should be 'thrill' in all of them.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
