I did my best with the worst
You can't say I never tried
I had less and made it work
I ain't sleeping on my grind
Turnt a gram into a grand
I was born to play with fire
Told my mans and he said fam
But he still got left behind
I just did the fucking work
Man it's really black and white
Them hard choices really hurt
Man it's really black and white
We had niggas on a shirt
Man it's really black and white
You titanic I'm the berg
Man it's really black and white
You gone do it or you not all I know is grind and grind
Your excuses cloud the truth shit like that what's got me tight
We got goals they look the same
No offense you not my type
You the nigga missing business if you miss out on a ride
I'm a ninja for the big bucks
I make shit shake every time
Need my kids tough like I'm Grisha
I make monsters out of mine
Niggas broke cause they accept it
It don't make sense in my mind
Need my pockets extra fat
And all my bitches extra fine
Had to cut some niggas off
I had to cut some bullshit back
Had to cut myself a check
I couldn't cut myself no slack
If you knew everything you wanted would cost everything you have
Would you still act like you want it that bad
Lil Ms. Bundles say I'm heartless
But she know that I don't mind
Cause she know that if I love you I'm gone always hold you down
I'm the one to get shit done up
All results out on this side
If it ain't drugs or sex positions
I don't care what niggas trying
I just do it do it do it
Like I'm Cherish or Big Sean
You need heartbreak and mistakes to show the path you should be on
I take my L's to the face
Enjoy the smoke and move along
I ain't tripping I'm just different
How I'm living might be wrong
Stoic as ever I just smoke til I'm clever
Life's what you make it and I'm making mine better
Life black and white like a chickadee feather
Or Drake, Cole and Logic all on a song together
The game old but ain't no gray in that bitch
Way I'm living, it don't pay, then I can't play in that bitch
We broke up, she broke, I'm up and I could hate on the bitch
But the pain these bitches gave me is what's been making me rich
I don't care for validation baby I know who I am
I appreciate the love but I know that can be a scam
I just process and push forward it's made me a better man
Better days ahead all you need is a chance, here I am
I did my best with the worst
You can't say I never tried
I had less and made it work
I ain't sleeping on my grind
Turnt a gram to a grand
I was born to play with fire
Told my man's and he said fam
But he still got left behind
I just did the fucking work
Man it's really black and white
Them hard choices really hurt
Man it's really black and white
We had niggas on a shirt
Man it's really black and white
You titanic I'm the berg
Man it's really black and white
Don't give up on yourself

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
