Born in the year of the cat,
Taught to fight for what you want,
Razed in fire and ash,
Tonight there's no turning back,

The city screams your destiny,
There's no gravity,
High in your flying machine,
Watch over me,
Where are you now?
Are you feeling well or are you breaking down,

I know how alone you feel so far away,
While they pretend to remember you,
Laika, I'll make you proud,
Is laika coming home? laika,
Please come home

Song MeaningI don't think there's really any pondering to this song.
It's about the stray dog, referred to Laika, that was used in a space experiment.

    I believe the last part:

"I know how alone you feel so far away,
While they pretend to remember you,
    Laika, I'll make you proud,
    Is laika coming home? laika,
    Please come home"

Is from the viewpoint of a child who became close to the dog ("Before the launch, one of the scientists took Laika home to play with his children. In a book chronicling the story of Soviet space medicine, Dr. Vladimir Yazdovsky wrote, "I wanted to do something nice for her: She had so little time left to live.")
