"The Drums" as written by David Arthur Butts, Antoine Demarest and Bruce Thorburn....
The drums once loudly resonant
Don't resonate in tune
The drumming feels a little slow
Yet somehow comes too soon

Bruised skin
I can't take another hit
Without you

The pockets were one lined in time
The seams seemed to bare thread
Emptying my pockets now
Finds crumbs where there was bread

Smooth skin
Asking only for a hit
And asking nice

The drums

General CommentI think this song is about Jamie and how him and Nick once lined their pockets with money during Unicorn times. Now Jamie is back and "asking only for a hit and asking nicely". Jamie came back, but he wants to be popular again. He wants another hit song.

    Jamie literally is the drums.
