Shoot out of town with no shoes on my feet
I'll dodge a bullet, by the skin of my teeth
And we'll dance forbiddingly
when the music stops playing

I'm a bad man falling down for you
I'm just a bad, bad man falling down
Just as sure as the moonlight shines for two
As quickly as the nighttime
Hits when the day is through
I'm just a bad man falling down for you

Don't worry, I don't mean no harm
I've got the luck of a beggar
With a three penny charm
And my heart still lies in someone else's arms
Oh, how you've been warned

I'm a bad man falling down for you
I'm just a bad, bad man falling down
Just as sure as the moonlight shines for two
As quickly as the nighttime hits
When the day is through
I'm just a bad man falling down for you

Take your worries and put them aside
And take mine, hell, I've got nothing to hide
Nothing my soul or my body can refine
'Cause I know that someday I'll get mine

I'm a bad man falling down for you
I'm just a bad, bad man falling down
Just as sure as the moonlight shines for two
C'mon, I ain't so cruel
I'm just a bad man falling down for you

General CommentI'm not the biggest H&H fan, but this song is fantastic. It just seems to be a sweet yet somber look at love between two people (through the eyes of one) that still seems to be infatuated with another...though he's willing to lustfully move on to another.

due to the title being "Three Penny Charm" i've looked for loose connections to the great play "Three Penny Opera" though their doesn't seem to be any.
