"Sunshine Blues" as written by and Afie Salomon Jurvanen....
Sunset sings the sweetest tune
Just the song he wrote for his true love in bloom
I held you dear since the dawn of time
You know it's true that for you I shine

Going up, you're coming down
I'm only hoping some day you'll turn around
Cause I'd be shining and then you'll see
Who could love you more than me?

How I wish you felt the same
I'm jealous of the wolves when they howl out your name
I send my love bouncing from star to star
So it can find you wherever you are

I'm going up, you're coming down
I'm only hoping some day you'll turn around
Cause I'd be shining and then you'll see
Who could love you more than me?
Ah who could love you more than me
No one could love you more than me

General CommentNo, the first two lines are: "Sunset sings the sweetest tune//
Just the song he wrote for his true love THE MOON."

Get it? The sun is in love with the moon but they can never be because every time the sun goes up the moon goes down. The sun is jealous when the wolves howl to the moon. Ah I just love it. So heartbreaking. Please edit it !!

General CommentI think the second line is "true love in bloom". Could be wrong though...

But yeah, this song is absolutely beautiful. Heartbreaking lyrics.

Song MeaningLiterally speaking, this song is about the sun being in love with the moon, a love that can never actually happen. The first line sets up this premise: the "sunset" (he) sings the sweetest tune for his love the "moon" (the girl).

"Going up as your coming down," is another line that shows how the sun sets as the moon rises and therefore their love can't be fulfilled.

The sun is "jealous of the wolves when they howl out [the moon's] name". He sends his love bouncing through the stars in the hopes that someday the moon will realize how much he loves her... I think it's beautiful.

Metaphorically, I think it represents a boy who has loved a girl out of his reach for a long time. Maybe they are separated by class, family or by distance but for some reason they can;t be together. Or maybe the girl just can't see how much the boy loves her. Either way I think it's an amazing song.
