"Slow Down Jo" as written by and M. Ward....
Slow down Jo
Anybody ever tell you that you move too fast?
Anybody ever tell you how to make a good thing last?
'Cause it ainâ??t like that

First you gotta slow down Jo.
Last night I was talking to some friends of mine.
A.J.â??s afraid youâ??re gonna kill your time or lose your mind.

If you donâ??t slow down Jo.
Anybody ever tell you if you lose the knack.
Anybody ever tell you that itâ??s true
You can get it back?
But not like that

It ainâ??t by kicking down the walls & pissing off your friends.
Every time the cards donâ??t fall your way.
It ainâ??t by poking out your eyes when you see something you donâ??t like.
Even your mama said she donâ??t want to see you spent at 25,
So come on Jo stay alive

My InterpretationI'm not sure who Jo is yet but I do know that Dondante is a tribute to one of Jim's friends who died. Anyone know more about this?

General CommentI recently went to the Seattle MOF show, wonderful, wonderful venue. Anyways, no media devices were allowed during the show, yet some were still able to sneak some low quality cell phone videos recordings. A woman in the upper balcony saw a man in the front row with his cell out, and cursed him out at the end of the song(SHOUTING), she put on quite a show, calling the man a "douchebag" and to "respect the artists" etc. The boys laughed it off, and M. Ward dedicated Slow Down Jo to this loud woman.

MemoryI've made mistakes, pissed off my friends and ran off. I should've slowed down.

I hope the one I really care for is well and happy.

And maybe thinks of me from time to time....like I think of him. Constantly.

    I heart you.

General CommentAs a recovering alcoholic, this song speaks volumes to me about getting caught up in addictions and downward spirals.
