I watched a man murder and kill
Plot against the destroyed will
I watched a man ripped to shreds
Stench of rot does not offend
Create a theme, sell it how
Promiscuous, no consequence
Think of ways to shock us now
Good luck, I've seen it all

I will pay for this death and destruction
Just to know such things exist
I will pay for this death and destruction
Knowledge of evil, paralysis
Overkill exposure

Cannibalistic destruction
Fanatical debauchery
Glorified infidelity
Show me death, show me lies
Show me unthinkable darkness
Programmed perversion of the worst kind

Show me death, show me lies
Show me unthinkable darkness
Show me death, show me lies

I will pay for this death and destruction
Just to know such things exist
I will pay for this death and destruction
Knowledge of evil, paralysis
Overkill exposure

Guard my heart, guard my will
Think of ways to shock us now
Guard my heart, guard my will
Keep your death and lies

Guard my heart, guard my will
Think of ways to shock us now
Guard my heart, guard my will
Keep your death and lies

Song MeaningIt's about more than just TV violence. The overkill exposure is the assault on our senses and spirit by the constant barrage of negativity, violence, fear, hysteria, and lies that permeate every aspect of our society and culture. It's more than just propaganda and desensitization. It's spiritual. This society is told that Christians are what is represented by the "right", the pharisees and apostates who bitterly divide people so efficiently. So if I knew no better, I might think that the warmongers and political icons shared my faith and therefore ignore the massive bloodshed. Jesus never advocated the torture, genocide, or political assassination like these "Christian" men have proliferated. In fact, he taught to turn the other cheek. Robertson and his fellow false prophets of the establishment: "Keep your Death and Lies". May the Lord guard my heart from this deception.
