"Mystery Man" as written by and Kaoru Ishibashi....
Pieces of a dream
Candied at the seams
Tucked under my arm
As i heard the alarm

Woke up in a daze
Followed by a blaze
Of golden afternoon
I picked up my spoon

Put it to my lips
Chilled like a blade
Cuts Trough my cheek
The price i pay

A little bit closer
Try a bit deeper
Look under the sink
Cause there i am
Filled with plaster
The same fuckin bastard
I'm the mystery ma

Try and guess my color
More famous than other
Not oak or a wooden hue
But could you guess blue ?

Cool like sheets of sand
Wrinkled like my hand
Find it in the sky
Watching us when we die

A little bit closer
Try a bit deeper
Look under the sink
Cause there i am
Filled with plaster
The same fuckin bastard
I'm the mystery man

Why the gloomy face?
Was it a desgrace?

I was only joking

The debtes they all will fade
Consider them repaid
Oo lala la

Your stories are so old
They can be untold or sold

My InterpretationI'm 95% sure this song is about crystal meth.

    Pieces of a dream
Candied at the seam ('candy' being slang for meth)

    Cuts through my cheek
The price I pay (meth really fucks up your mouth)

    Look under the sink
Cause there I am (meth can be made using some common household chemicals)

But could you guess blue? (meth is often blue)

    etc.

My InterpretationA reference to Joseph Gervais? The infamous Hudson's Bay Company man?

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…

Jupiter One is a NY/NJ/Hudson Bay area band... so...

But sounds more like a repairman or plumber who just exists like a ghost wandering about fixing people's sinks. :-S

I think the joke is on us. We're not supposed to know who this Mystery Man is. Which is part of the intrigue. Almost like they're making us a lyrical map on where to find the treasure. So obviously in front of us, yet frustrated by never knowing.

    Maybe that's the point?

I've never really figured this one out. Fill me in when you do... I'll probably find it amusingly sick. :-S
