"Swoon" as written by and Imogen Jennifer Jane Heap....
Your name in lights
Vibrating to your ring tone
My world begins to dance
We discuss important stuff
The rendezvous is set up
To catch a film and dinner

Stuck in a cinema or
Saving me from a car your
Suddenly realize and fall into my arms
Working you under cover
Softly slowly got ya
Any moment now your gonna swoon
Into my arms

A same you
A same me
Spoon feeding the ground dark soil
A friend too good to go there with
Shake it up and get it on
Oh well I know you know you do
And maybe you've not said in so many words
You've always got your reasons
You're a right little know it all

Stuck in a cinema or
Saving me from a car your
Suddenly realize and fall into my arms
Working you under cover
Softly slowly got ya
Any moment now your gonna swoon

Let me be the great Scott
Tip top pit stop in your ocean
I could be the shipmate's wife
Got you down and dirty with the lotion

This is where I was going to sing your name
Over and over again
But I chickened out
I haven't done it
'Cause I thought you probably wouldn't like it

Swoon and fall into my arms

Let me be the great Scott
Tip top pit stop in your ocean
I could be the shipmate's wife
Got you down and dirty with the lotion

Let me be the great Scott
Tip top pit stop in your ocean
I could be the shipmate's wife
Got you down and dirty with the lotion.

General CommentI definitely see it as it's someone she really likes but nothing's happened yet - but she wants something to: "A friend too good to go there with / Shake it up and get it on", and "Then you'll finally realise and swoon into my arms" etc. It's obviously a friendship she wants to turn into more, and it's on the verge, but he's not so sure: "And maybe you've not said in so many words / You've always got your reasons / You right little know it all" and she's trying to convince him.

General CommentGot you down and dirty with the lotion....why do i love this line so much!?

Any way i love this song, reminds me of her Frou Frou days....it sounds like, to me, she is a little impatient for this relationship to start, or to evolve from a friend relation to a romantic one

General CommentMy second favourite on the album (after Half Life) :) :)
I think it's just about liking somebody :)
feeling happy when they text you,
wanting to be their everything and for them to fall into your arms :)
I love this album, it's amazing and deffinately worth waiting 2 years for :D

    General CommentCouple of mistakes:

    From the CD booklet

    Stuck in a cimema
    should be
Snug in a cinema (I, too, thought it was 'stuck')

    ground dark soul
    groundhog song

I could be the shipmate's wife
I could be the shipmate what (got you down...)

    I haven't done it
    in the final minute

General Commentamazing song. i think it's about being clingy in a relationship, overthinking everything.

General CommentI still have to listen a few more times, but my first thought was that she's starting to date someone and her mind is running wild - like Goodnight and Go pt. 2. She's finally got the guy, but he's not yet 'in love', and she wants him to hurry up and "swoon" into her arms, 'cause her imagination is running wild ;)
