"Rubik's Cube" as written by and Timothy John Wanstall Steven Alexander Roberts....
The world is too heavy
Too big for my shoulders
Come take this weight off me now

1000's of answers
To one simple question
Come take this weight off me now

Oh I'm like a kid who just won't let it go
Twisting and turning the colors in rows
I'm so intent to find out what it is
This is my Rubik's cube
I know I will figure it out

Lost in the playground
Late night nostalgia
Open the sky for me now

Friends round the fire
Outside in December
Open the sky for me now

Oh I'm like a kid who just won't let it go
Twisting and turning the colors in rows
I'm so intent to find out what it is
This is my Rubik's cube
I know I will figure it out

Credits roll over the edge of horizons
That I haven't discovered yet

Oh I'm like a kid who just won't let it go
Twisting and turning the colors in rows
I'm so intent to find out what it is
This is my Rubik's cube
I know I will figure it out

Oh I'm like a kid who just won't let it go
Twisting and turning the colors in rows
I'm so intent to find out what it is
This is my Rubik's cube
I know I will figure it out

General CommentOften we look to our own lives to give meaning to songs that move us. For me, this song is really about having an uncertain, puzzling future and that everything will be okay if you stick to it and stay determined to solve it. And with that, the answer can be anything you want it to be.

General CommentThis song is about being confused with the world. Let's break it down.

"The world is too heavy, to big for my shoulders. Come take the weight off me now."
The world is falling down on you, everything is crumbling. Life is so hard and just not going right, and he'd rather be dead than alive.

"Open the sky for me now."
This also relates to rather being dead than alive. He is asking for death, he is asking to be sent to Heaven.

"I'm like a kid who just won't let it go. Twisting and turning the colors in rows. I'm so intent to find out what it is. This is my rubik's cube, I know I can figure it out."
This is realizing that you can figure out how to deal with life. Life is a puzzle, and in it's darkest times, it is like an unsolved rubik's cube, mixed and scattered and confusing. But there is always a way to figure it out.
