Why do I just lie awake and think of you?
I need some sleep.
Tomorrow I have things to do.
Every time I close my eyes I see your face,
So I try to read, but all I do is lose my place.

Am I obsessed with you?
I do my best not to want you.
But I do all the time.
I do all the time.

I just had to call you up and say hello.
I know it's three a.m.
And I saw you awhile ago.
But I still had this aching need to hear your voice
To know your there
I don't seem to have any choice.

Am I obsessed with you?
I do my best not to want you.
But I do all the time.
I do all the time.

Oh yeah.
I'm so sorry I just had to wake you up.
I feel so lonely by myself.
Is this the way it feels when you're in love?
Or is this something else?
Yeah

Yeah

Am I obsessed with you?
I do my best not to want you.
But I do all the time.
I do all the time.

Oh yeah
But I do all the time, I want you all the time.
Am I obsessed with you?

ew. i love miley and her music, but the songs on her new cd suck. they have no meaning, and the songs that could have meaning have a horrible beat. just ugh. Theo nly song I like is Before THe Storm, and that's it. jeez. I mean, she's awesome and all, and my thoughts haven't changed about her, but I can't help but think "what the hell happened?"

    My Opinion

I love Miley, especially her music and this song relaxes me. I dunno, but that "I try to read" line makes me wanna read xD Miley is wonderful performer and nobody can deny it. She may not have the best, clearest voice but she sure shows what she can do. Love her <3

This song is about a girl (the narrat0r) asking herself is she 0bsessed with s0meb0dy because she wants that pers0n ALL the time, that pers0n is 0n her mind day in and day 0ut. But, she still tries her hardest n0t t0 want that pers0n, but she d0es ALL the time. She d0es everything in her p0wer t0 n0t think 0f him, but she d0es.

0H! and I can n0t understand why pe0ple despise Miley s0 much, she is just a teenager, just like us. give her a break and accept her. She really is a g00d singer and plays g00d music.

In this song, Miley desperately needs a certain person, and feels guilty that she needs them that much. She tries not to want them, but she does anyway. This song is sweet ;)

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
