"I'll Never Tell" as written by and Brendan Benson....
I’ll never tell how much I love you
Never show how much I care
I won’t speak a single solitary word
Until I’m well enough above you
To say hello to you down there
Well then and only then I’ll rest assured

People say how can you be so cruel
Well it’s easy when you’re me
You know you’ll always be an exception to the rule
And they say it’s all in my foolish pride
It’s getting in the way
It’s the reason I don’t say what I feel inside

I’ll never tell how much I love you
Never show how much I care
I’ll never speak a single solitary word
Until I’m well enough above you
To say hello to you down there
Then and only then I’ll rest assured

I’m happy just to sit with you like this
And you don’t have to talk at all
I just enjoy the company
Especially when he or she is
In it for the long haul
We could boggle we could sing or we could not do anything at all
It’s neither here nor there
And I don’t really care
It’s your call

I’ll never tell how much I love you
Never show how much I care
I’ll never speak a single solitary word
Until I’m well enough above you
To say hello to you down there
Well then and only then I’ll rest assured

General CommentI can't believe how little number of people have commented on brendan benson... I saw him 11-17-09 at first avenue in MPLS, MN. It was the deadest I have ever seen first avenue but they were awesome and rock live..... Tickets were like 10$, amazing show... See him live if you have a chance.

General CommentThis would be my favorite song on the new album too. The verses are all sick, and the chorus is just enchanting...... BRENDAN BENSON IS AWESOME..... go buy some of his music... If you don't like it, you probably don't have good taste in music.
