Watch her inhibitions falling to the floor
Notice how you lock the door
What would you love to do
Here in this hotel room together and alone
I want you to put on a show

What would you love to do
What would you love to say
What would you love

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word say the word
Ohh

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word say the word

Watch you in the mirror the way you touch yourself
Your hips to your fingertips
What would you love to do

Don't be so impatient
Don't lose self control
I'll make the rules up as we go
What would you love to do
What would you love to say
What would you love

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word say the word

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word say the word

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you slip right out of that dress
I won't say the word say the word

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you severing the velvet
I won't say the word say the word

Princess I just want a witness
Watch you slip right out of that dress
I won't say the word
No I won't say the word
No I won't say the word say the word

    Song Meaning

    Here's my idea:

"Watch her inhibitions falling to the floor." To inhibit means to control and refrain from showing; of emotions, desires, impulses, or behavior. So she is showing that she want's to do something with him, without hiding her emotions/desires/impulses etc.

"Notice how you lock the door" This just suggests that what she wants to do is sexual. She doesn't wanna be walked in on. She didn't forget to lock the doors. xD

"Here in this hotel room together and alone I want you to put on a show" So they are locked in a hotel room, together and alone. He wants her to "put on a show" or entertain him Do the math. He's teasing her so he can have sex with her. ;D

"What would you love to do? What would you love to say? What would you love?" He knows what she wants already. She wants to have sex with him. He just wants to hear it from her. He wants to watch her show that she wants it.

"Princess I just wanna witness. Watch you severing that velvet" He want's to watch her "sever the velvet," which, assume from the last line, "Watch you slip right out of that dress," is a velvet dress he wants her to sever, or take off.

"I won't say the word- say the word" I believe the word is sex. He doesn't wanna say that he (or she) wants to have sex. He want's to watch, or witness, her removing her velvet dress and having sex with him, rather than jumping to the conclusion that they will have sex in the hotel room together, because she locked the door. He's trying to keep her inhibitions up, teasing her, and pulling her in to still wanting to have sex with him.

"Watch you in the mirror. The way you touch yourself. Your hips to your fingertips." This is her, putting on the show for him. Showing what she wants, without saying the word. Sex.

I hope this helps clear some things up, and if this isn't true, helps spark new ideas as to what this song means.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
