For the desired effect
Would you come back August or June, June
And I hate that tomorrow's December
But this collision, came mid-bloom

Better built to resume
I'll see you August, see you June
I'm building higher than I can see
I want fantasy

Don't rest with the less
I'm burning to impress
It's deep in the middle of me
I can be fantasy

Is it just me or does the riff at the end (from 2:10 to 2:25) sound like it matches the next track "Shelter" - although it's much slower. Every time I listen to it, in my head I hear Romy singing "maybe I had said, something that was wrong. Can I make it better, with the lights turned on"

I agree, definitely feel that it could perhaps be about unrequited love or wanting so badly to be in a relationship and that position to have someone to love, and love in return ('I'm burning to impress') be comfortable and yourself around that person completely, basically by saying ('I can be fantasy') its trying to prove all these emotions and feelings you want to feel and can share with someone. So, so beautiful. Incredible bass also.

    amazing amazing amazing song.

i think its about two people that were in a relationship that failed. they're right for each other, but its just bad timing. so he's saying come back to me at a later point in time. and in the meantime, i'll fix myself to be perfect for you, because i want a perfect relationship.

    or something?

a lot of the songs on the album almost border on codependency. i think this kind of adds to that.

I think it's about two people that want to be together-but may be in another realtionship. He desire's her now but They collieded to soon. He need's to finish what he started. She is his fantasy.

For the desired effect Would you come back August or June, June And I hate that tomorrow's too soon But this collision, came mid bloom

He's telling her not to settle for who's she's with. He can give her more. He can be her fantasy.

Don't rest with the less I'm burning to impress It's deep in the middle of me I can be fantasy

I may be a 100% wrong but it's just my way of interperiting it. When I hear this song; that's what I think of, only because I am in this postion, and the word's flow perfectly with how I feel.

Pretty much the only song at the moment to convey everything I am feeling.

I love this song. I think he is asking his ex to come back but just not yet because it is still too soon. There is still too much pain ("and I hate that tomorrows too soon") meaning he isn't over the hurt yet, but he misses her and given some time he will be over the hurt and ready to resume the relationship. I can relate to this song since this is exactly what I am going thru. I miss my recent ex gf but with the way things ended and the way she treated me I just cant be a part of her life right now...maybe August, maybe June :p

The part I am not sure about is when he says "I'm building higher than I can see"...does he mean he is building her up in his mind or that he is building himself up to be better upon her return?

This song makes me think of unrequited love, and when that persons rejects you, you start to fantasize about what might happen in the future, and maybe the person will change their mind, and come right back to you.. But it never happens..

This song is poetry. Beautiful, ghostly poetry.

We lust for what we cannot have, A long, unbroken chain Of lovers who remain unloved And loved who love in vain.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
