"Monster Monster" as written by and Dusty Redmon (23061) Jay Vilardi....
Sick of drinking poison
Sick of worrying
Sick of telling lies
You're just sick of listening
What a bastard child
I have made myself
What a stab
What a missing truth
I hope I can get home to you
What's the use in going it alone?
What's the use in going this alone?
It's you and me
Let's get out of this place
It's you and me
Let's get out of this place

I'm sick of this monster monster
You've gotta get here
You've gotta get here
I'm sick of this monster monster
You've gotta get here
You've gotta get here
We've go to get out, get out
Before things get weird
Before it gets weird
We've got to get out, get out
Before it gets weirder

I have made an exit
I have made a home
Among the throne
And I have given in
I have given in
I have lost respect for me
Can this get any worse?
Can this get any worse?

Before it gets weirder

wow...I can't believe this song doesn't have that many comments O_o it's pretty epic <3 anyways, to me the song is pretty straight forward. it's basically about someone (girl or boy, could go either way) who has a drinking problem and due to their addictive drinking they've become a "monster". even though they know it does that to them they continue to "drink poison", but at the same time they're trying to stop before it gets worse (I get that from the lyrics "We've got to get out, get out Before it gets weirder"). I also think that a friend/gf or bf/relative/etc. knows about their problem, but have given up on helping them out since they're "sick of listening" to all the lies the person says about how they will try and quit drinking. also I can't help but think this song could be about two friends at a party or a bar who start drinking and what not. but then one of them realizes that if they keep doing it things could get bad/"weirder" if they stay (like if one of them drives home drunk they might not make it home. I get that from "I hope I can get home to you"). well yea...that's what I think. sorry for rambling on and on :P

General Commentmusikfreak, I like your drinking spin on it, but I'd also like to say I think he's presenting a general sinner as well (Drinking, lies, and worrying) who has made himself a "bastard child" by leaving his true Father (God) who he hopes he can "get back home to". Because there's no use in going it alone. :)

Song MeaningIts probably about him and his drinking cause he admits he's gotten drunk before, and has used drugs before, he also say in Aarons story on youtube he say he says he has problems with worrying and anxiety. he's a really great man of God and influences alot :)

General CommentWell this is my opinion (we can all interpret any song on our own level of understand), personally this songs reminds of my low self esteem. You know that you'll get hurt somehow because it seems to happen so much, depression and dissapointment is becoming like poison which he can't help but drink; and he is sick of it. He is sick of worrying (this song means alot to me seriously,I have an anxiety disorder as well, and believe me it isn't pretty) and telling lies about it, he keeps lying to himself and to others that he is okay.

He is talking to people about his problems, and they are becoming sick of it. (this personally happens to me as well). They are becoming fed up with this, and this goes down drinking poison.

His problems comprise a monster, he impersonates them in this way. He wants a way to let go ...
