"Summer Summer" as written by and Aaron Sprinkle (17160) Jay Vilardi....
Walking around, looking down
For something better
There's nothing better
Some old weird and familiar sound
It's just you leaving town, my God
August came around

Summer comes and leaves you with a fever
That you caught
When you were young
Summer goes, makes you feel like life is real
And hanging on for more

Empty streets, empty me
Just call me vagabond
Wondering in the sun
This is getting sort of old
Wandering aimlessly
Is it empty streets or empty me?

Hanging, hanging
Holding on for me, hoping, praying
This will all start over
Come back for me
We will walk the streets
Of this old town
Make me a promise
This will all come back around

General CommentYeah, it seems to be about a guy and a girl that see each other in the summer, but she lives somewhere else and he's dreading her departure... (eh, this hits kinda close to home right now...)
When she's gone, he feels lost and empty. but i like to think of the empty streets line in the Christian perspective as - is it that I have no opportunity to wittness to others or am I just empty and not close to God so i can't see them?

Song MeaningThis song is about two people who spend the summer togeather and when its over one of them leaves and the one who stays tries to find themself again
the line "summer comes and leaves you with a fever that you caught when you were young" refers to summer being like a dream like if you think back to summers when you were young they dont feel real
"summer goes, makes you feel like life is real and hanging on for more" this is like when the pain hits them of losing the other person and all you want is them back and for summer to have never ended
then the person prays that there will be another summer they can spend with that person again

General CommentThe part were it says "Is it empty streets or empty me?" it sounds like he says "Is it empty streets or empty knees?". Does anyone else hear it? Cause it would make since to say empty knees. Meaning not bowing down and getting on your knees, and surrendering to God. Anyway, nice song, God bless everyone.
