Feel it comin' in the air (yeah)
Hear the screams from everywhere (yeah)
I'm addicted to the thrill (I'm ready)
It's a dangerous love affair (what's up? Come on)
Can't be scared when it goes down
Got a problem, tell me now (what's up?)
Only thing that's on my mind (what's up?)
Is who's gon' run this town tonight? (Ah, what's up?)
Is who's gon' run this town tonight? (Yeah, what's up? Yeah)
We gon' run this town

We are, yeah, I said it, we are
This is Roc Nation, pledge your allegiance
Get your fatigues on, all black everything
Black cards, black cars, all black everything
And our girls are blackbirds ridin' with they Dillingers
I get more in depth if you boys really real enough
This is la Familia, I'll explain later
But for now, let me get back to this paper
I'm a couple bands down and I'm tryna get back
I gave Doug a grip and lost a flip for five stacks
Yeah, I'm talkin' 5 commas, 6 zeros, dot zero, here Doug
Back to runnin' circles 'round niggas, now we squared up
Hold up

Life's a game, but it's not fair (yeah)
I break the rules, so I don't care (uh-huh)
So I keep doin' my own thing
Walkin' tall against the rain (what's up?)
Victory's within the mile
Almost there, don't give up now (what's up?)
Only thing that's on my mind
Is who's gon' run this town tonight? (What's up?)
Hey, hey, hey, hey (what's up?)
Is who's gon' run this town tonight?

We are, yeah, I said it, we are
You can call me Caesar, in a dark Caesar
Please follow the leader, So Eric B We are
Microphone fiend, it's the return of the god
Peace, God, ah, ah, and ain't nobody fresher
I'm in Maison, ah, Martin Margiela
On the table, screamin', "Fuck the other side, they're jealous"
We got a banquette full of broads, they got a table full of fellas
Yeah, and they ain't spendin' no cake
They should throw they hand in 'cause they ain't got no spades
Yeah, my whole team got dough
So my banquette is lookin' like Millionaires' Row

Life's a game, but it's not fair
I break the rules, so I don't care (what's up?)
So I keep doin' my own thing (uh, uh)
Walkin' tall against the rain (yeah)
Victory's within the mile (what's up?)
Almost there, don't give up now (uh)
Only thing that's on my mind
Is who's gon' run this town tonight? (What's up?)
Hey, hey, hey, hey (yeah, yeah, yeah, what's up?)
Is who's gon' run this town tonight?

It's crazy how you can go from bein' Joe Blow
To everybody on your dick, no homo
I bought my whole family whips, no Volvos
Next time I'm in church, please, no photos
Police escorts, everybody passports
This the life that everybody ask for
This a fast life, we are on a crash course
What you think I rap for, to push a fucking Rav4?
But I know that if I stay stunting
All these girls only gon' want one thing
I could spend my whole life Good Will Hunting
Only good gon' come is this good when I'm cumming
She got a ass that'll swallow up a G-string
And up top, uh, two bee stings
And I'm beasting off the Riesling
And my nigga just made it out the precinct
We give a damn about the drama that your dude bring
I'm just tryna change the color on your mood ring
Reebok, baby, you need to try some new things
Have you ever had shoes without shoe strings?
"What's that 'Ye?" "Baby, these heels"
"Is that a May- what?" "Baby, these wheels"
You trippin' when you ain't sippin', have a refill
You feelin' like you runnin', huh? Now you know how we feel (what's up?)

Hey, hey (yeah, yeah)
Hey, hey (what's up?)
Hey, hey
Hey, we gon' run this town tonight
What's up?

Ha, so much ignorance in these comments. Understand this; if all you receive from interpreting this is that Jay-Z may be some kind of racist for the use of the words "black" is shockingly incredible. You must dig deeper into lyrics of not only this song but every song. Obvious messages are put in the lyrics for the ignorant minded to interpret, but for those who truly understand and can look deeper into lyrics, will find truly meaningful subliminal messages. I'm not going to go into great deals but look at the clues. Think about how this song could apply to the obstruction of the current world order, or the governemt. He says real people will understand, he implys he must explain things later. He says I'm in Maisons. The English prenounce this "store" that's being referred to as "Mayzauns." " It's the return of the god, peace God." Look it up. Free your mind. Understand what's really going on.

this song is obviously about the Illumaniti and their plan to take over. Rihanna, jay-z, and kanye are all illumaniti puppets. Listen to the words people.

Well wow i dont know what to say to that parkerg that is a very amazing theory and I do believe you.I am not very intelligent but i do know about the new form of slavery. On the other hand i have never heard your ideas of illuminati. In my opinion the internet or technology is the all seeing eye.I can tell you i have been mentiond in songs by Sliptknot....i was named child of burning time most people dont believe me but i am positive its me.If you listen to alot of music more commonly mentioned in newer music they describe the rain and the sun. Do you have a clue to what they stand for? I do believe its a way of exspressing war. Also i think the new form of slavery is directed towards women and children an they are sold over the internet. You can look into that on the net im not exactly sure where but ive read stuff on it before.Thats all i have to say for now.

this is a copy of the reply i wrote to parker, just wanted to put it here so there wasn't 33 comments on this song.

"i agree. some people are just have no ability to perceive things like this. jay, kanye, rihanna, and the majority of the music you hear on the radio are owned by universal, which is owned by general electric which is owned by members of bilderburg, which has ties to the illuminati. think people. and get close to God."

Why must people always try to turn songs into political, racial and religious debates? Personally, I think the song is just saying that they're gonna dominate the hip-hop world.

    Song Meaning

ok well all of you are utterly wrong. This song has a "hidden" agenda which is blatently obvious when you understand where jay-z is comming from. This song is clearly about the illuminati and jay-z supporting them in their plans for a New World Order. First of all it is very impiortant to note that jay-z has a record lable called " Rock-a-fella" which is the last name of the infamous Rockerfeller family which is also a key illumnati family. and within his first stanza he says "This is Roc Nation, pledge your allegiance Get y'all fatigues on, all black everything Black cards, black cars, all black everything And our girls are blackbirds, riding with they Dillingers I get more in-depth if you boys really real enough This is La Familia, I'll explain later" This clearly illustrates the fact that the world will be filled with black cars with trinted windows and everything else. Black is a color very often representing secrecy and evil. Hence, everything will be a secret and filled with black cars, secret service types, and everything else. He also says "this is roc nation, pledge your allegance" which clearly is another reference to rockerfellers(and rock-a-fella records which is a tribute to the rockerfeller family) and is telling us to pledge our allegance to the New World Order. And then he says he will "get more in-depth later if you boys are real enough" which clearly means that he will explain it to those who are real enough to actually fight on the side of the new world order because the non-elite are prohibited of being told what is really going on by the elites. I highly doubt that jay-z is an illuminati but i know for a fact that he ios a supporter of the New World Order. He also says that "this is familia, ill explain later" which refers to the bloodlines of the illuminati and again he says he'll explain later. Then rhiana says "Life's a game but it's not fair I break the rules so I don't care So I keep doing my own thing Walking tall against the rain Victory's within the mile Almost there, don't give up now Only thing that's on my mind Is who gon' run this town tonight"... "lifes a game but its not fair" is likely refering to how our lives are all a big chess game for the elite and that it isnt fair for us at all, " but i break the rules so i dont care" refers to how those in power/influence dont have to follow the rules of the general public so they dont care that its unfair for us. "victorys within the mile" refers to the fact that we are only 2-3 years away from living in a prison grid society where entire cities will be locked down and turned to concentration camps(google REX-84 for more info on american concentration camps). "almost there dont give up now, only thing thats on my mind is who's gonna run this town tonight" again refers to how we are almost into a total new world order and they cant give up now and the only thing thats on their mind is whose gonna run this town (the world) tonight(in the end, as night reprsents the end of the light(freedom and prosperity). "We are, yeah, I said it, we are You can call me Caesar, in a dark Caesar" is a blatent reference to Ceasar of rome who was the all powerful emporer. "Please follow the leader" is then refering to following the government and everything they say we should do. "On the table, screaming f*ck the other side, they jealous" is refering to us(the people) saying screw the other side because he's saying we are jeolous that we are not on the side of the elite. "they got a table full of fellas" is again refering to the rockerfellers and having them on the side of the new world order. "And they ain't spendin' no cake" is then saying that they dont have to pay any money because all they do is rob the taxpayers blind."My whole team got dough" is saying the entire team of elites have plent of money."So my bankhead is lookin' like Millionaires' Row" is agin refering to having money but also likely refering to the "bankheads" which would be the rockerfellers and other elites. now for kanyes part. "Police escorts, everybody passports This the life that everybody ask for" is a clrear reference to the comming police state where everbody must hand over their information(although it will soon all be digitalized into the already in use implantable RFID chip, the Verichip) and that this is the life everybody needs to adapt to. "This a fast life, we are on a crash course" this generations lives will be abruptly cut short and that we are on a global crash course for destruction."We give a damn about the drama that you do bring I'm just tryna change the color on your mood ring" means they dont care if we try to resist(drama) and that theyre trying to change our opinions of the masses(moodring equals mood towards a new world order". And finally, "You trippin' when you ain't sippin', have a refill You feelin' like you run it, huh? Now you know how we feel" means that we trip over all the things that are being done and so we should sip some more as in drink up more of the messages the media and politicians are telling us. "you feelin like you run it, huh? now you know how we feel" clearly means that we feel like we run it when we really arent but that we feel like we are on the same level as them, but its all an illusion caused by sippin on their propagada.......ok well thats a complete analysis of this song. many of you probably wont belive me but please notice how I am the ONLY person who left a post that completly evaluated this song and there are wayyy to many coincidneces in this song for me not to be correct. Oh and i havent even covered the music video. the music video is a clear referece to the illuminati due to the fact that jay-z is wearing a hooded cloak such as the kind that virtually every secret society has used throughout history. Also there is a point at 4:43 rhiana is making a pyramid with her hands and putting it over her eye which is clearly meaning the pyramid of illumination which has an eye at the top of it which represents the all-seeing eye(also seen on the dollar bill and many other places). plus the fact that the entire video almost is in a temple which is a pretty strange choice for a setting about a so0ng which supposedly is supposed to mean running the town in modern day but the illuminati uses temples often and the illiminati was founded in the 1700s(or sooner if you choose to include the knights templar as iliminati) and that is why they shot it in a temple. all it takes is to ask questions and suddenly everything makes sense. we as a nation need to learn to connect the dots and not believe everything we are told. also if you would like to learn more on how we are being enslaved you can go to infowars.com

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
