"Push Some Air" as written by and Elliot Samuel Martin....
We don’t have another 24 hours to wait
We dream of all we can be - but we just push it away
The more we think we’re moving forward we just keeping the pace
With the light that’s fading from the clouds so listen to me shout
If you can’t afford a dollar to take care of the pain
You’re gonna feed it - how you gonna beat it?
No matter who you gonna tell it to I bet they won’t hear you beg
It’s your decision to be part of a solution today.

So your beats are broken down they can barely flow
I can’t hold my tongue - we just let it blow
So help me to push it out
Use the words of your mouth to get it started - do you want it?

So we gonna push some air - won’t you move your hands into the air
We gonna shout - ain’t gonna stand down
Gonna push some air - come on raise your voices so they hear
We gonna shout - scream it out clear
Gonna push some air - come on raise your hands into the air
Give me the feeling that you’re keeping the faith
We gonna push some air - come on raise your voices so they hear?
We gonna shout - scream it out clearly

The air around us is surrounded by confusion and greed
The power of our speech release disturbance in your frequencies
Winds will begin to interfere - clear the air!
So if you get too high let me put you back in your place
You’re gonna feel that fever’s been burning your head
You want to survive the weather better move your own weight
If you wanna live, what is the first step that you take?

We push the beat - let me see how you like it - Don’t be frightened
So let me speak and we’ll feed the fire tonight - Making it brighter
We push the beat so let me see how you like it - Please don’t be frightened
We move to set it free - let me feel the vibes excite you

So we gonna push some air - won’t you move your hands into the air
We gonna shout - ain’t gonna stand down
Gonna push some air - come on raise your voices so they hear
We gonna shout - scream it out clear
Gonna push some air - come on raise your hands into the air
Give me the feeling that you’re keeping the faith
We gonna push some air - come on raise your voices so they hear?
We gonna shout - scream it out clearly

My InterpretationI think this song has some references to the life of drugs and getting out of the hole and into the light. As with a lot of great songs, the lyrics can have dual or multiple meanings, and this one is generally about just facing down some demons and dancing them out of our bones.

    >We don’t have another 24 hours to wait
    >We dream of all we can be - but we just push it away

'Push' in this song I think refers to pushing drugs, so it kind of starts by talking about how badly people want out sometimes but they're afraid of change so they continue their habits and lifestyle.

    >If you can’t afford a dollar to take care of the pain
    >You’re gonna feed it - how you gonna beat it?

Referring to the dilemma that drug addiction can create -- spending money to numb the pain, but ending up with more pain from being addicted and having no money.

    >No matter who you gonna tell it to I bet they won’t hear you beg
    >It’s your decision to be part of a solution today.

Telling people about your drug problems is often met with "Let me know what I can do to help" kind of attitude. The desperation is often not seen because it's shameful. So the decision to change really needs to come from within.

    >So we gonna push some air - won’t you move your hands into the air
    >We gonna shout - ain’t gonna stand down

Pushing some air obviously refers to breathing hard, dancing, moving, transforming energy into positive action, and standing up to the negative. The general interpretation of the song I get is push air rather than drugs.

    >So if you get too high let me put you back in your place
    >You’re gonna feel that fever’s been burning your head
    >You want to survive the weather better move your own weight
    >If you wanna live, what is the first step that you take?

The drug reference becomes a little more obvious here. The fever is that burning feeling that things can't continue this way. "Better move your own weight" meaning, instead of moving someone else's weight (moving weight is a phrase used to describe selling larger quantities of drugs), you need to be more worried about saving yourself.

The rest of the song is essentially positive encouragement to tap into the positive vibes of music, dance, and energies that are freely available to you, to overcome the fears of change and get on with living a good life.
