"Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want (The Smiths cover)" as written by and Steven Patrick/marr Morrissey....
Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had
Can make a good man
Turn bad

So please please please
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want
This time

Haven't had a dream in a long time
See, the life I've had
Can make a good man bad

So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Lord knows, it would be the first time

General Commentthe first time i heard the smiths original i almost cried.
it spoke, because i'm one of those people with terrible luck. nothing goes my way. and this song is so sweet and melancholy in zooeys crooning voice.
"Lord knows it would be the first time."

    good things.

General CommentThis is one of the few times that I think the cover version is better than the original. Zooey's voice is perfect for this song.
