Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Find a place to hide
You close your eyes
You close your eyes
Changing something inside

You're a genius in your own mind
But the words never come out right
The right words wake your sleep
After the rum has made it's way through your teeth

If only I could take it back
Tongue and cheek why do you speak
Before the brain starts working?
Melody's got you covering tracks again
Mouth and mind stay in line
Don't ever do this to me again
Or I'll refuse to use you

Get out the paper
Write it down
Cover every angle
'Cause where's the point you're trying to make
When you talk yourself in circle?
You're a mess in your own mind
Stop that from being your one line
The right words wake your sleep
After the rum has made it's way through your teeth

If only I could take it back
Tongue and cheek why do you speak
Before the brain starts working?
Melody's got you covering tracks again
Mouth and mind stay in line
Don't ever do this to me again
Or I'll refuse to use you

General CommentI haven't heard this song in a while, and it's been a while since I submitted these lyrics, but I was going by ear to get them up. Sorry if I mucked them up!

I love this song, and pretty much every song I've heard by Say No More, but this deffinately stands out to me. Dunno why.

I see it as a guy (or girl) gets so drunk that they have sex with a stranger. Afterwards, they feel horrible, not telling their partner. Or, that the guy or girl feel extremely guilty about cheating on their partner.
