(Hey) Alabama, Arkansas
I do love my ma and pa
Not that way that I do love you

Well, holy moly, me oh my
You're the apple of my eye
Girl, I've never loved one like you

Man, oh man, you're my best friend
I scream it to the nothingness
There ain't nothing that I need

Well, hot and heavy, pumpkin pie
Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ
Ain't nothing please me more than you

Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you

(Hey)
(Hey)
(Hey, hey)
La, la, la, la, take me home
(Daddy) Mother, I'm coming home

I'll follow you into the park
Through the jungle, through the dark
Girl, I never loved one like you (hey)

Moats and boats and waterfalls
Alleyways and pay phone calls
I've been everywhere (hey) with you

That's true, laugh until we think we'll die
Barefoot on a summer night
Never could be sweeter than with you (hey)

And in the streets you run a-free
Like it's only you and me
Geez, you're something to see

Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you

(Hey)
(Hey)
(Hey, hey)
La, la, la, la, take me home
(Daddy) Mother, I'm coming home

"Jade"

"Alexander"

"Do you remember that day you fell out of my window?"

"I sure do, you came jumping out after me"

"Well, you fell on the concrete, nearly broke your ass
And you were bleedin' all over the place
And I rushed you out to the hospital, you remember that?"

"Yes, I do"

"Well, there's something I never told you about that night"

"What didn't you tell me?"

"While you were sitting in the backseat smoking a cigarette
You thought was gonna be your last
I was falling deep, deeply in love with you
And I never told you 'til just now"

"Aww"

Oh, home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you
Oh, home, let me come home
Home is where I'm alone with you

Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you

Oh, home, yes, I am home
Home is when I'm alone with you

Alabama, Arkansas
I do love my ma and pa
Moats and boats and waterfalls
Alleyways and pay phone calls

Home is when I'm alone with you
Home is when I'm alone with you

This song is so special to everybody, I think. In their own way... Because it makes you think, "where the hell is my home?" And we realize that we don't really have one. Home is about people, not places. And for some of us, home doesn't really exist yet.

This song has been explained on here already, and it's not exctly a mystery, but i'd just like to say, this has a very big meaning for me. I had a length of time a while back, where i was staying temporarily in a place, more amazing than any place i've ever been before, after having lived in a hole in the wall for a long time. I just kept thinking to myself how amazing the place was, and how great, but how much i'd rather be back in this other place where nobody wants to live. Then i moved into another place (i was living on people's couches four a while in between) no better or worse than the one i left, and missed, but i still wasn't happy. The longer i was away, the worse i got. It wasn't someplace i could go back to, and even if i could, it wouldn't be the same, because the people had moved on. Some of those people were and are more to me than anything material could ever be, and they changed my life, but now they are gone and i can't go back to them, and every day is harder than the one before it for me. I've become a pathetic and a recluse. Home is where your heart is, and if you find that place, never, never, ever let it go. Fight for it, with all you've got, until you have nothing more to give. Fight for those people that make up that place that is only home when you're with them.

"It's there, I know it is, because when I look at you, I can feel it. And-and I look at you, and I... and I'm home. Please... I don't want that to go away." -Dory

No truer words have ever been spoken. This song reflects that statement perfectly, and it will never have the same significance to anyone, like it does to me.

Attack me if you will, but I think they have a very Johnny and June Carter Cash feel on this song, especially when they go into the talking part. It really reminds me of "Jackson."

I have seen Ed Sharpe twice live, and both times this performance ignited something inside me that I have never felt thru another song. They all have such an inspiring presence. The words are so straightforward and they have such a simple meaning, but they trigger the deepest feelings of love that we all carry within us that we don't always express. Being "home" wraps all of these feelings into one word for me. We all know what its like to be home, to be safe, to feel protected, to have reciprocated love that just makes me you want to shoot into the sky. When I hear this specific song, I think of everything that has once or currently makes me feel uplifted and high. I cant help but let go and move my body loosely and i just feel so full of bliss... from the second he starts in with that whistling. My head seriously doesnt stop bobbing and my arms dont stop fluttering everytime i dance to this song....aha... umm yeah so I'd definitely say that this song changed the way I listen to music and what I look for in music. There isnt another song that has ever made me so happy. Jade and the other girl in the band dove into the crowd during their performance at Coachella this year at the end of the show with flowers in their hair and every other person in the band was just doing their thang on stage. I loved this song before I saw them live, but the make their music through their performances. If already enjoy their music and if you have the chance to see them, you cannot turn it up... it will complete your life.

There is no deep meaning to this song, as the lyrics are pretty strait forward. But just by judging by the comments posted here, as well as what several people I know say (and even my own reaction), if one were to look for a deeper meaning in this song, it would be a feeling of pure joy.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
