"Bone House" as written by and Jack Lawrence Dean Fertita....
I build a house
For your bones
I build a house
I build a home

I build a house
For your bones
I build a house
I build a home

I wrote a song
Go on and listen
That's all you'll hear
When I go missing

I wrote a song
Go on and listen
That's all you'll hear
When I go missing

I always get, I always get,
The things I want

I make a nest
For your hair
I lay you down
I lay you there
I build a ship
I sink or sail
Every tooth
And every nail

I always get, the things I want
I always get, the things I want
I always get, the things I want
I always get, the things I want

I put your heart
In a vault
That's how I get
The things I want

I put your heart
In a vault
That's how I get
The things I want

I lay a road
For your mind
So your mind can
Go, go, go, go

I lay a road
For your mind
So your mind can
Go, go, go, go

I always get the things I want
I always get the things I want
I always get the things I want
I always get the things I want

I build a house
I build a home
I build a house
For your bones
I build a house
For your bones
I build a house
I build a home

General CommentThis song is my favorite off of "Horehound". Very Rage Against the Machine meets convoluted blues.

My InterpretationI get the feeling that this is about someone who is in a relationship, and has control over their partner. Also, I get the feeling of some angry lovin' too. :)

General CommentI think it's about the beginning of a relationship, and someone laying down the laws. They're going to wear the trousers and the other person either has to like it or lump it, basically.

General CommentI think most of dead weather's songs are about relationships where one of them has a lot of power above the other.

But also it's kinda sad if you always analyze it as a BAD thing. It's just what happens if you have a strong personality and fall always in love with passive people.
I don't think that the strong one wants to manipulate the situation. As a matter of fact, he just wants to protect the weak one(cause he knows that he's stronger). But in retrospection he knows that it's a wrong reason to affect the other's life, but it's the only way that he knows how to be.
