"Call Your Name" as written by Joseph Matthew Barnes and Christopher A. Daughtry....
You never said, you never said, you never said that it would be this hard
Love is meant to be forever, now or never seems to discard
There's gotta be a better way for me to say
What's on my heart without leaving scars
So can you hear me when I call your name?

And when you fall apart am I the reason for your endless sorrow?
There's so much to be said
And with a broken heart your walls can only go down but so low
Can you hear me when I call your name?
When I call your name

Complicated situations are the makings of all that's wrong
And I've been standing in the river of deliverance way too long
There's gotta be a better way for me to say
What's on my heart without leaving scars
So can you hear me when I call your name?
So can you hear me when I call your name?

And when you fall apart am I the reason for your endless sorrow?
There's so much to be said
And with a broken heart your walls can only go down but so low
Can you hear me when I call your name?

You never said, you never said, you never said, you never said
When I call your name
You never said, you never said, you never said, you never said
When I call your name

And when you fall apart am I the reason for your endless sorrow?
There's so much to be said
And with a broken heart your walls can only go down but so low
Can you hear me when I call your name?

And when you fall apart am I the reason for your endless sorrow?
There's so much to be said
And with a broken heart your walls can only go down but so low
Can you hear me when I call your name?

General CommentThis is probably his best song. Beautiful lyrics, his falsetto is really nice in this song, and the way it builds up to the ending is awesome. Great guitar there.

General Commenti think this song is about a relationship then didn't workout and one person blames it on them self.

"When you fall apart, am I the reason for your endless sorrow?"

General Comment"the river of deliverence" refers to the previous line "complicated situations are the makings of all that's wrong"...he's saying that he's the one delivering the complicated situations...he's the one causing them is what he's saying.

General Comment"the river of deliverance" - is that perhaps a reference to the novel Deliverance by James Dickey? Which is about a violent journey down some fictional river... I don't know, just an observation... That always comes to my mind when i'm listening to this song though!

Btw great song, beautiful lyrics, i love it :)

General CommentI think this song talk about a relationship that is on the rocks and he thinks it's because of situations he creates. he keeps hurting her when he expresses himself: "there's gotta be a better way for me to say what's on my heart without leavin' scars" and "and when you fall apart, am i the reason for your endless sorrow?"
