"Wait for Me" as written by and Richard Melville Hall....
I'm gonna ask you to look away
I love my hands, but it hurts to pray
Life I have isn't what I've seen
The sky is not blue and the field's not green

Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Mhmm wait, wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me

I'm gonna ask you to look away
A broken life will never stay
Tried to hard and I always lay
Days are gray
And nights are black

Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me
Wait for me

My InterpretationWhoa..no comments? I love how gentle this song is. I think its about someone who is ashamed of the way their life turned out - it's not what they dreamed/expected it to be. I'm probably wrong though, hah.

General Commentno i agree with that trail of thought, primarily because of:
"The life I have isn't what I'd seen
The sky is not blue and the field is not green", it is just saying how everything didn't turn out how this person had planned, life just went wrong.

    a nice song anyway.

My InterpretationI agree with both comments, but added it feels more like someone in love, but realizing they have messed up their life. It's not what they wanted to share with someone else & they are hoping the person they love will wait for them to try & fix it. Because the person they love sees they are damaged & has said they can't take much more.
