I am waiting for
You to come and bring me back
I will lay here quiet
Honey don't leave me out here all night

No, it ain't right
The way I talked and walked
And left you far behind
But I saw your face
All day, all night

If we don't talk
I won't mind
'Cause it's the only way
To get along some time

Now that I'm old
I am not the way,
The way I thought I was
I know it's hard
But you know
We'll make it, my darling

If we don't talk
I won't mind
'Cause it's the only way
To get along some times

My InterpretationThis is a great love song. It's realistic about relationships, but still romantic at the same time. It doesn't try to sugarcoat love as if once you've found the right person, everything will be perfect, like today's popular culture would have us believe. Fights and sleeping on the couch still happen even in the best, most meant-to-be relationships. This song is about apologies, forgiveness, and coexisting even in the midst of fighting.

General CommentI remember getting into a fight with an old gf. Later I was driving around, it was raining, and this song came on KEXP. It made everything seem right.

This also made me rediscover Sera as a solo artist. I remember casually bumping into her at the Tractor Tavern a few times when I lived in Seattle.
