"Anywhere You Looked" as written by Annie Hart, Erika Spring Forster and Heather Anne D'angelo....
What would you say was the matter
When we all laughed at each other,
When we all cried together?
I was right.
If we could all say we're sorry,
Give up all of our tomorrows,
Finding nothing more to argue -
I was right.

Anywhere you looked was
Right.

Anything you said to me,
Was lost beneath or overseas,
And timing changes everything
When I was right.
We discovered one another,
Stumbling through another summer.
Worrying, we start to wonder
What was right.

Anywhere you looked was
Right.

Anywhere you wanted to be,
Someone else was talking to me.
Wavelengths pull magnetically,
And I was right.
And we knew when we tried harder,
There would be another offer.
Knowing as you're falling under
What was right.

Anywhere you looked was
Right.

I think it's the best song of the album.

I think it's about a turbulent relationship--love or friends. Time has changed so much, and they've all moved on (or both have moved on). They know it was the right decision. Now that they look back, everything is so much clearer.

True ARS--sorrowful yet optimistic and hopeful.

My InterpretationI think the last bit is supposed to be:

    Anyone you loved once
    Was right.

    General CommentSome corrections:

    the second chorus is
    Anywhere your luck was right

and unhappy oatmeal is right, the last chorus is
Anywone you loved once was right

Song Meaningno way I don't think it's about a relationship that has moved on. I think it is about the three of them. Annie is one of the girls in the band and I think it is a play on words "Anywhere you looked was right" = "Annie" where you looked was right... Annie is the tall one with glasses... I think it is about her and the other two girls and how they just sort of came together and spent the good times together, and cried together, and they probably fought but stuck together through the tough times and came out on top, with a new record deal. And I think it just is another one of their songs from the heart about how they are feeling when they write.
