Who would of known?
To the lips, of a failed writer
To crash a cup of wine
To throw a toast
To an island that's slowly sinking
I can almost hear you -
Hear you crying.
MOMMA YOU ARE KILLING YOURSELF.
MOMMA WHAT CAN I DO?
And I'll be the one putting pins into my fingertips.
Only to erase memories.
And to laugh when I think what my father did
She sits, she waits.
SHE TOASTS HER PRAYERS,
NOT SPEAKS OF THEM
MOMMA YOU ARE KILLING YOURSELF.
MOMMA WHAT CAN I DO?
She sits, she waits...

General CommentLol! "...throw a toast." I don't know, that part was random. Toast. Hahaha. I can imagine bread being thrown outta nowhere. Hahaha. Sorry. Ah, such a sad song. I love it. I love them! :D

General CommentThis is possibly about an alcoholic mother?
Or more likely a dysfunctional family in general.

General CommentThis is one of their best songs IMO.
It's epic, stays stuck in your head and feels like it has more meaning to the lyrics than the other songs.
    Obviously about a troubled childhood.

General CommentI think their parents had a lot of arguing between each other and probably their marriage broke in the end. That is probably the reason her mother became an alcoholic. Krysta wishes she could help her mother, she feels sad for her mother's sad situation. Great song, I love it! Deep meaning in it.
