"The Day The World Went Away (Quiet)" as written by and Trent Reznor....
I'd listen to the words he'd say
But in his voice I heard decay
The plastic face forced to portray
All the insides left cold and gray
There is a place that still remains
It eats the fear it eats the pain
The sweetest price he'll have to pay
The day the whole world went away
Na na nah
Na na na, nah
Na na nah
Na na na , nah

My OpinionI prefer this waaaaaaay more to the album version. Apparently the lyrics are about the death of his grandmother which makes this quiet version much better. I think Trent Reznor's singing is much more emotional in this version as well. The double-tracked yells in the background are a really nice touch, too. Just one thing I don't like: the minute long intro of na na na. With iTunes I just set it to start at 0:59.

I find it sadder than "Hurt," even "Hurt (Quiet)" haha.
