Det er fint jeg ikke husker
Alt det som engang var
Det er bra jeg ikke minnes
At vi engang var et par
Det er flott jeg ikke husker
At jeg fulgte henne hjem
Alt det der er tatt av vinden
var det Telthusbakken fem
Heldigvis så har jeg glemt det
Hun er null og niks for meg
Og jeg husker ikke heller
At hun sa hun elsket meg

Det er bra jeg ikke minnes
At hun gjorde meg sjalu
At jeg søvnløs lå og vred meg
Tenk det har jeg glemt med gru
Jeg er ferdig med den jenta
For det vet jeg her og nå
Nei jeg husker ikke det at
Hennes øyne var så blå
Heldigvis så har jeg glemt det
Hun er null og niks for meg
Og jeg husker ikke heller
At hun sa hun elsket meg

Det er fint å være ensom
Jeg kan ta mitt liv med ro
Ingen plager meg med minner
Men tenker hun på meg mon tro

Jeg har glemt hvor godt hun kysset
Og hvor søt og varm hun var
Jeg har glemt vårt første møte
Var det sjette februar
Jeg har glemt en tur i skogen
Vi tok en tidlig vår
Jeg har glemt hvor godt det luktet
Av hennes lyse hår
Nei, nå vil jeg ikke huske
For det har jeg nå bestemt
At jeg elsker henne fortsatt
Vel det bør jeg nå ha glemt
At jeg elsker henne fortsatt
Vel det bør jeg nå ha glemt

this song is a good reason for you all to learn norwegian! very good lyrics about a man trying to forget his x-girlfriend. its written in a humoristic way that helps me to keep smiling after an ended relationship lately

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
