"All You Did Was Save My Life" as written by Zac Maloy and Raine Maida....
You, looked at me as you walked in the room
Like the red sea, you split me open
Somehow I knew these wings were stolen
All you did was save my life

Tried to run but I couldn't move
Well I paid for these concrete shoes
But like a singer that sings the blues
You saw hope in the hopeless

I'm not dying
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heartbeat back inside
I'm not dying
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life

Save my life

I'm not for sale but I've been sold
The more I hear the less I know
And the lies are swallowed whole
In their insignificance
The story's been told a million times
But it's different when it's your life
I won the lottery tonight
The lottery tonight
The lottery tonight

I'm not dying
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heartbeat back inside
I'm not dying
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life

I started to come around
The dogs are backing down
I'm not afraid to see

The devil's gone underground
This tightrope's been cut down
And I can finally breathe

You, looked at me as you walked in the room
Like the red sea you split me open
Somehow I knew these wings were stolen

I'm not dying
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heartbeat back inside
I'm not dying
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life

All you did was save my life
(Put the heart beat back inside)
All you did was save my life
(Put the heart beat back inside)
All you did was save my life.

General Commentpeople who whine and bitch that OLP doesn't sound like they did 10 years ago need to shut up. OLP is still the same band they were when they first started they are just OLDER now.

    OLP = best band ever.

new album will be just as great as this song and every OLP album released in the past.

General CommentI love this song. I have OLP's albums, and the music video is so cool. I think the girl who stars in the new version of 90210 is in it. It's cool. To me, this song means that the guy had fallen in love with this girl, and she split him up, made him who he is. She saved his life, and he owes her so much. He loves her and is giving her is heart. I love the lyrics. So genius. It's cool, too, how they're poetic, sorta. Like, "I'm not for sale, But I've been sold, The more I hear the less i know, And the lies are swallowed whole, And their insignificance" sounds so poetic, doesn't it? I like it. OLP is an awesome band!!!!

General CommentI'm loving this song so far i just hope the rest of the album is just as good.

I think the song is like the Florence Nightingale effect but the "patient" doesn't want this affection.

General CommentI'm expecting this song to be way different than the rest of the album. I'm not too worried. They haven't been a big deal, or released a major single, for however many years. They must've wrote this song to get back into the public eye and onto mainstream charts.

General CommentI've been an OLP fan forever and i don't understand why fans don't like this. Sure it sounds a bit like a radio pop-rock song but have you listened to the lyrics?? "
tried to run but I couldn't move,
Well I paid for these concrete shoes",
"Like the red sea you split me open,
Somehow I knew these wings were stolen,
All you did was save my life."

I think this is an amazing song. Raine uses a great deal of emotion as usual and was able to create something very powerful in my mind. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!!

General CommentI must say, OLP has the best lyrics in their songs. But anyway, I think I found out the meaning to the chorus line. When it says "You pulled me out of that flat line" it's meaning that monitor that shows your heart beating or whatever cuz when it's a flat line, it means the patient's heart isn't beating at all

General Commenti kno exactly wat the song is saying
"Like the red sea you split me open" is saying that you got me to trust in you and i still hate the fact
that it keeps happening to me

    AND OLP OWNS ALL

    OLP=AWESOME
