Here tonight I clock a thousand heads
Here to unite, through common dreads
Now who's with me?
Now who's with me?

Something trips inside
That's been dormant for a thousand years
Now we can no longer hide
The immediacy of these fears

Our names will not be writ on water
And we don't need an ark
One day I know the dam will collapse
And we will be the current
Yes, what have you got for me?

And now the flood gates will open
Strike
You cannot open the door
You cannot open the door

We will sing as one in solidarity
We will swim together
No longer treading water
We're flowing with the tide

And you can taste the night
Don't waste the night
We will sing as one in solidarity
We will sing together

And still we will be here
Standing like statues
The time is now, belt it brothers

We will sing as one in solidarity
We will sing together
We will sing as one in solidarity
We will sing together

We will sing as one in solidarity
We will sing together
We will sing as one in solidarity
We will sing together

This is really, really wrong, I'm not sure on some of the lyrics for this either but I know for sure these a wrong, why not just wait for the album to come out? While I don't really want to add to the speculation as to what the lyrics are... Stuff [in these brackets] is stuff I'm not sure on

Here tonight I clock a thousand heads Here to unite, through common dreads Now who's with me? (Ho!) Now who's with me? (Ho!)

Something [sits inside?], that's been [growing?] for a thousand years Now we can no longer hide the immediacy of these fears Our names will not be written on water And we don't need an [arm?] (No way!) One day I know, the dam will collapse And we will beat the current!

Yes... what have you got for me? Oooh!

And now the flood gates will open Arrghhh! You cannot hold back the tide! You cannot hold back the tide!

We will [sing as one?] solidarity! We will stand together No longer treading water, we're flowing with the tide And you can taste the night, don't waste the night!

And still we will be here, (we're not hiding) standing like statues

Solidarity, solidarity, we will stand together (We're not hiding) (And still we will be here, standing like statues)

Don't know how you got "we will sleep together" from that. Anyways there's my take on it, it's probably not right either, doesn't really matter though we'll now the proper lyrics soon enough, Common Dreads is gonna be amazing!

adsmylie has got virtually all of it right.

But I think the last line is 'we will sing together' as opposed to 'stand together'

The start of this song is immense. A track that has to be listened to. I'd feel bad if I skipped it lol

I agree with lcfcsunil. adsmylie had it pretty much right. One thing that's wrong in his version is after the creepy voice says "and now the flood gates will open" Rou (the lead singer) clearly does not say "wide!" He is really just saying "Yahhh!" in an inhale scream. Putting a Y in front of certain vowels enunciates words, syllables, and words like "yah". So essentially Rou's using "yah" for a dramatic effect and possibly to symbolize the water released by the flood gates. Even so, I think it makes that part of the song epic.

"Belt it brothers" instead of "friends and brothers". It's in the booklet =]

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
