Staring at the window panes
Russian roulette with the names on the phone
When I stare at your face, are you even alive?
Oh my god, you're so fucking intelligent
Don't you just love the use of Andy Warhol?
We always knew that we were never the best advocates

It's okay
If I'm grey today

Holy fuck, I'm impressed
Too bad I don't have a pussy to plunge in
as I sit here and stomach this
Here's a Nobel Prize, let's gamble our demise

Staring at the window paint
Russian roulette with the names on the phone
Hey you, where you from?
Nevermind, just leave me alone

I drained the well, so the town has no water
I cut the phone lines and buried the grain
I drained the blood from the fortunate ones
its self-destruction 'cause we're all the same

"Hurry up, trade in your gold for cash
That's what everyone's saying
Don't blame me for post-economical backlash
That's what everybody's doing
Sometimes, I can't believe myself
Consequences in their purest form
I've seen it coming from miles away

I'm down with brown town

I'm down with brown town
(It's only seconds away)

from gray to red. it actually says "we always knew that we were never the best advocates and it's ok if I'm gray today." I bought the CD and thats what the lyrics say.

"too bad i don't have the pussy to partake" real: too bad bad i don't have a pussy to plunge in as i sit her and stomach this

i'm pretty sure the lyrics: "too bad i don't have the pussy to partake, while i sit here in sermon chairs" are actually, "too bad i don't have a pussy to flaunt it. will i sit here and stomach this?"

    but i might be wrong.

That's the point, they're telling you that "I'm down with brown town" is coming up next. hence the "it's only seconds away" part.

    Song Meaning

    Staring at the window pane
    (self explanitory)

russian roulette with the names on the phone (its about outbound calling for the last presidential election you never know wether its going to be answerred or not so agents call it russian roullette depending on if its a positive lead or another angry guy that you just wasted his last cell minute)

when i stare at your face are you even alive? (talking about all the "sheep/Zombies" that do what they are told without thinking about aka those that voted for Obama

oh my god you're so fucking intelligent don't you just love the use of Andy Warhol? (this is discussing the art that supported Obama and how an artist ripped off Andy Warhol's style of art) ( motherpie.typepad.com/motherpie/2008/02/the-obama-poste.html )

we always knew that we were never the best advocates and it's ok (see speechs from Joe Biden 1 week after being elected, then ask yourself why you don't see him on TV anymore)

and it's ok if i'm grey today (see both candidates voting history in the Senate, Obama never voted... ever and Mccain was republican but voted like he was democrat)

holy fuck i'm impressed too bad i don't have a pussy to plunge in as i sit here and stomach this (He p*ssied out of voting and now he feels sick about it)

here's a nobel prize let's gamble our demise (Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize... for doing NOTHING, based on that he's good enough to lead the most powerful country in the world? i wouldn't take that bet)

staring at the window panes russian roulette with the names on the phone "hey you, where you from?" (Calling a "customer/voting citizen")

never mind just leave me alone (what the person says after talking to them)

I drained the wells so the town has no water (how liberals limit the amount of water cities can use... see California)

i cut the phone lines and buried the grain (see FCC, and see how farms are stopping to produce grain due to the Carbon Tax [they cant purchase new farming equipment])

i drained the blood of the fortunate ones (how "fortunate" people are taxed so high they cannot afford their way of life, shutting down businesses and causing jobs to be lost)

it's self destruction cause we're all the same (Obama is doing all of this even though its destroying the US's economy and stability... see $700 billion bailout)

hurry i'm trading the gold for cash and that's what everyone is saying (ask any financial advisor what you should do with your money, because the US dollar isn't worth anything)

don't blame me for post economical backlash that's what everyone is doing (pretty self explanatory again, see people that buy houses they can't afford or companies that faked higher quarterly earnings)

(The rest of the song leads into the next)

I understand this song may make some non-objective individuals upset but read what I wrote and read other lyrics from the bands latest album and you will see this meaning is correct. Don't hate the player, Hate the Game.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
