Could you stay a little longer?
I could really use the extra time
I don't know why I even care
Cause I'm never really there
I'm sure he must be a real nice guy
What a relief, He'll carry you to sleep

Hey!
And I don't know (Hey!)
What we could have done (Hey!)
And maybe this time I will learn to love again (Hey)
I will always be your friend

See this is why
We don't talk anymore
Cause you'll always be waiting
To settle the score
And every second could be the next meltdown
If I wasn't leaving you wouldn't make a sound
You wouldn't make a sound

So this is why
We don't talk anymore
So this is why
We don't talk anymore

Now I don't have to be a real nice guy
What a relief

Hey!
And I don't know (Hey!)
What we could have done (Hey!)
And maybe this time I will learn to love again (Hey!)
I will always be your friend

Could you stay a little longer?
I could really use the extra time
I don't know why I even care
Cause I'm never really there
I'm sure he must be a real nice guy

Could you stay a little longer?
Could you stay a little longer?
Could you stay a little longer?
Could you stay a little longer?

General Commenti think this song kid of mingles with part 1. they meet, and he doesnt want her to go. he fell in love
he wants to be more than friends in part 1, then in part 2 they got together tried out the relationship then figured it wouldnt work, he's decided he's done putting up w/ her shit. and shes over him and im guessing he cant stand it. then finally its over with.

the song ends with can you stay a little longer,
    beginning a new song/chapter.

    a love circle basically.

General CommentI could relate to this song so much.

I guessing he broke up with his gf,
    "We don't talk anymore
    Cause you'll always be waiting
    To settle the score"
and all he wanted to be was friends but when trying she keeps bring up the times they were together

My InterpretationHe broke up with her, she moved on and has someone as a rebound. He doesn't want it to get to him as much as it does, but he's accepting it and wants to keep her apart of his life.

General CommentIt seems to me this song is about
'He broke up with his girlfriend, did it because he was sick of putting up with her shit. But of course he still loves her and wants to let her go but can't all the way just yet. She moved on and found someone "I'm sure he must be a real nice guy"'
I really like how this song flows... and the random "HEY" is sweet!

General Commenti agree with all of the other comments.

    they've broken up.
and he still has feelings for
her, but he knows that they can't
be together. she's moved on, and he
can't stand it. but he'll accept it
because he want her around still, but
    only in the friend position.

General CommentI noticed that in pt. 1 hes talking about being with the girl. maybe a good place in the relationship and part two is the break-up. sort of like a before and after.

My Opinionhonestly, i love this song. lol
it's definitely not one of their best, but for some reason both parts 1 and 2 just kinda stand out to me... i guess it could be the slight change of style from the rest? either way, i dig it. :D
