"99 Times" as written by and Kate Elizabeth Voegele....
So, you see
You've got me back again for more
And it seems
Your song is in my head
This is war
Mystery, how I could feel you breathe me

I was sure you would keep
Every promise; you would keep
Every word

Well,
I try to put your stories in line
But nothing adds up right

For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited

Its a shame
That you left me hanging like you did
It was brave
But it was much more foolish
Don't you think?
Cause you know I wont be satisfied
Until you realize

For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited

These things are oh, all so typical
These things are unforgivable
I'm gone and you're invisible now
Don't let me catch you following
Don't ask, cause I'm not offering
You've caused enough of my suffering, oh

For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight

For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
And swore you weren't lying
Well, I was so blind
I never saw the signs
I'm getting out tonight
And you're not invited

General CommentThis song is pretty self-explainatory. I think she's saying that a guy cheated on her, and then lied to her face one too many times (99 actually) and she's sick of it. She's getting out and he's not "invited" to come back around and break her heart again cause she won't fall for it the next time.

General CommentBasically, what this song's meaning comes down to is, a girl being mad at a guy (for whatever reason it may be, yet particularly involving lying of some sort), but she's like "hey YEAH I'm mad, but whatever I'm over it." Its pretty darn empowering. woot! woot! Now go belt this into your hairbrush. =]

My Interpretationthis song is quite obvious to tell what its about but noing me im probably wrong. from the chorus what its about:

    'For every 99 times
You looked me in the eye,
You looked me in the eye
    And swore you weren't lying
    Well, I was so blind
    I never saw the signs
    I'm getting out tonight
    and you're not invited'

its about a girl who boyfriend keeps lying to her and says its the truth and she believed only to find out that it was all lies and she is getting really sick of it
    the verse:

'These things are oh, all so typical
    These things are unforgivable
I'm gone and you're invisible now
Dont let me catch you followin
Dont ask, cause I'm not offering
You've caused enough of my suffering, oh'

means that these things happen all the time, and since it is happened she is never going to go back to him and if he chases her shes gonna ignore her.

General CommentI always heard it as
    "I'm getting off tonight
    You're not invited"
    Anyone know which is right?
