"Midnight And I" as written by and Stephen Daniel Patterson Alexander Joseph Even....
Anything we should know about your change?
Light from under the door
To keep from suffering fools
Ive been walking at night with my eyes shut
Your eyes'll shut soon
So now

Get to sleep now
Get to sleep now
Get to sleep now
Don't you ever wonder
If the night's alive

Been losing my teeth
Feeling weak at the knees
I've been walking at night with my eyes shut
Both eyes are shut tight
tight, tight, tight

Get to sleep now
Get to sleep now
Get to sleep now
Dont you ever wonder
If the nights alive

Put your feet up
Lay your head off
Table set up
Kick yr shoes off
And turn the lights off
And see it all
Get to sleep now
Get to sleep so easy
Any way surrounded
I don't think about it now

General CommentThis song is beautiful in the way the percussion and guitar plays with the piano. There's a tangled beat, but also a lovely flow.

I think the song might be about sleepwalking, but I can't tell what it's "REALLY" about. Maybe anxiety or fear - a fear or anxiety of living in a reality that is more dreamlike. "I've been walking at night with my eyes shut." Perhaps it's this realization while facing age, illness, or drug addiction severe enough to cause tooth loss and weakness. Drugs would also match the notion that someone has been walking around 'with their eyes shut' and unaware of their waking world because the drugs have mentally and/or physically removed them from it.

I'm not certain with this answer, but I look forward to hearing what others thing.

(You know how they say "Movies are about one thing (Example: Nebraska Boy meets girl and they have a baby), but they're really about something else (sexual repression in midwestern society)? I feel the same way about songs).

General CommentI think this song is about depression and how the singer feels the need to sleep and avoid his life. He speaks of how it is almost inviting him. "Put your feet up"
