"My Body Is A Cage" as written by Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, Tim Kingsbury, Richard R Parry, William Butler and Jeremy Gara....
My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key

My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key

I'm standing on the stage
Of fear and self-doubt
It's a hollow play
But they'll clap anyway

My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key

You're standing next to me
My mind holds the key

I'm living in an age
That calls darkness light
Though my language is dead
Still the shapes fill my head

I'm living in an age
Whose name I don't know
Though the fear keeps me moving
Still my heart beats so slow

My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key

Standing next to me
My mind holds the key

My body is a . . .

My body is a cage
We take what we're given
Just because you've forgotten, that don't mean you're forgiven

I'm living in an age
That screams my name at night
But when I get to the doorway
There's no one in sight

My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key

You're standing next to me
My mind holds the key

Set my body free
Set my body free
Set my body free
Set my body free

General CommentThis is the only song that makes me cry. The original version makes me feel nothing. I have no idea what it is about this cover but it just feels so real to me. Whenever I feel numb or indifferent I listen to this song and I can actually feel something.

General CommentI assume that the song is about being trapped. Trapped in a situation with a person that you cannot have. Disappointed not only with yourself but with one another that you can't have. No matter how painful, its the feeling that envelopes our soul in the dark. its about wanting to reach out but not knowing what those boundaries are.
To be nothing but all consumed with such pain, self doubt that continuously resonates without hesitation.
