I've seen your face here before
You think you've got it all but there is so much more
You hit the wall, you fall, and then you learn to crawl again
There's worlds to explore

Because there's no danger
Do I look like a stranger?
Just look left, look right, everybody's doing it

Haven't you seen?
Everybody's doing it
Where have you been?
Everybody's doing it
Everybody's doing it now
Everybody's doing it now

The Party faithful are all here
So join the ranks among the dance-floor volunteers
Because you'll find yourself in being the same as everybody else
You ain't got a thing to fear

Because it might sting the first time
It's always the worst time
Do you feel sick from the pinprick?
Everybody's doing it

It can't be wrong
Everybody's doing it
Just play along
Everybody's doing it
Everybody's doing it now
Everybody's doing it now

Everybody's doing it now...

Just get in line
Everybody's doing it now
Ignore all the signs
Everybody's doing it
Everybody's doing it now
Everybody's doing it now

Give it a whirl
Everybody's trying it
Believe truth of the world
Because everybody's buying it
Everybody's doing it now
Everybody's doing it now
Everybody's doing it now

And now a word from our sponsors,
"We've got the miracle cure"

General CommentAlright i'll chime in first with the obvious answer - it's about drugs. I might have said too obvious but lines like "do you feel sick from the pin prick" seem too clear. Unless of course it's all a big metaphor or some such thing.

Great song too, love the main hook. Sounds like harpsichord or something.

General CommentI also think it's about drugs. But the overlying theme is peer pressure, and how people try to "fit in". Everybody's doing it, so obviously that makes it a good thing/cool etc. "It can't be wrong" if everybody else is doing/trying it.

Great song though - it has such a catchy chorus :D

General CommentTo me this song is pretty much about peer pressure and the constant need to fit in with the crowd. Especially the line "I might sting the first time, it's always the worst time, do you feel sick from the pin prick." which is pretty clear and demostrates that a lot of the time people only have sex to fit in. But I think it's a great show and I love that evermore has made such an awesome concept album about real issues inrhe world and not just love and loss.
