Who (Uh) [Repeat: x29]

You know that I love you
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you
You know that I love you
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you

So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Why would you change me (Baby I will let you go)
So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Baby I will let you go, oh oh oh

[Keri Hilson]
You knew I, (Ah-ah)
I had my, (Ah-ah)
My voices you said you could handle it
But you lied (Ah-ah)
Cause you tried (Ah-ah)
To change me, mold me and (Oh)

Everything you love before you don't love no more
Everything I did for you don't want no more (You don't want no more)
Maybe I'm not kind of girl you've been lookin' for (Oh, oh)
Would you agree So, How can you not see

[Chorus]
You know that I love you
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you
You know that I love you
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you
So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Why would you change me (Baby I will let you go)
So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Baby I will let you go

[Akon]
Why must I, (Ah-ah)
Decide on, (Ah-ah)
Whether I love you or the world
You met me (Ah-ah)
You fell deeply (Ah-ah)
In love with me so what is the problem now

Everything you love before you don't love no more (You don't love no more)
Everything I did for you don't want no more (You don't want no more)
Maybe I'm quite the man that you've been lookin' for
Would you agree So, how can you not see it!

[Chorus]

[Keri Hilson]
Why would you wanna change me?
Arrange me? Is that what you call love?
Maybe you need somebody different
Somebody who fits you like a glove
But don't change everything
(Don't change me, baby don't change me) That you love
(Don't change me, don't change me, don't change me) About me
When you know that I Love you!

You know that I love you (When you know that I love you)
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you
You know that I love you
You know that I love you
You know that I need you
Your my air that I breath you

So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Why would you change me (Baby I will let you go)
So don't try to change me
So don't try to change me
Why would you change me
Why would you change me (Baby I will let you go)

So don't try to change me

I think all relationships are about compromise, and it's important that we don't compromise so much that we lose sense of ourselves. I think this song is about that, and how many go into a relationship with certain expectations only to be disappointed that not everything is as they imagined. They then try to change other person, and when thy can't mould them into the person they thought they were, things start to go wrong.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
