"Ghosts" as written by Florence Leontine Mary Welch and Isabella Janet Florentina Summers....
I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me
I'm not calling you a thief, just don't steal from me
I'm not calling you a ghost, just stop haunting me
And I love you so much, I'm gonna let you kill me

There's a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep
Wraps itself around my tongue as it softly speaks
Then it walks, then it walks with my legs
To fall, to fall, to fall at your feet

There but for the grace of God go I
And when you kiss me, I am happy enough to die

I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me
And I love you so much, I'm gonna let you
I'm not calling you a thief, just don't
And I love you so much, I'm gonna let you
I'm not calling you a ghost, just stop

There's a ghost in my mouth and it talks in my sleep
Wraps itself around my tongue as it softly speaks
Then it walks. then it walks, then it walks with my legs
To fall, to fall, to fall, to fall
To fall, to fall

To fall, to fall, to fall, to fall,
To fall, to fall, at your feet
There but for the grace of God go I
And when you kiss me, I am happy enough

    General CommentI have a totally different version I think mine could be the updated one?;

I'm not calling you a liar,
    Just don't lie to me,
I'm not calling you a theif,
    Just don't steal from me,
I'm not calling you a ghost,
    Just stop haunting me.
And I love you so much,
that i'm gonna let you kill me.

Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done.

Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done.

    I'm too tired to fight,
I'm just gonna lay right here.
But i'm too angry to sleep,
    Without you near.

I'm not at home with myself,
But i'm not at home with you either.
    I'm too scared to leave.
But I never seem safe here.

There's a ghost in my lungs
And it talks in my sleep,
Wraps itself around my chest as it softly sleeps
Then it walks with my legs, with my legs,
    To fall at your feet.

There's a ghost in my lungs
And it talks in my sleep,
Wraps itself around my chest as it softly sleeps
Then it walks with my legs, with my legs,
    To fall at your feet.

Don't tell me what you've done
Don't tell me what you've done
Don't tell me what you've done

Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done,
Don't tell me what you've done.

I'm not calling you a liar
    Just dont lie to me
And I love you so much
I'm gonna let you kill me.

I think the above version is the original 'Don't Tell Me..'

General Comment First off, I just love how there are two seperate entries for the same song, under two different titles, neither of which are correct. According to Florence, the song is called "I'm not calling you a liar" and since she wrote the song, and preformed it, I think we should go with her name for it.
Now to the actual song. I don't think it's about a bad relationship. I think it's about a bad guy. The girl is madly in love with the guy, despite the fact that he isn't exactly the best person all the time. She is careful not to anger him (so she carefully explains that she isn't calling him a liar/theif/ghost) because she cares so much about him, but she has to ask him to refrain from what might be usual his activities, and wants to tell the world all about her love for him.
He made not be perfect, and she may not be super secure, but it's love for sure. The kind of fairytale, perfect love you see in the movies, Made possible only by their imperfections. Anyway it's a beautiful, relatable song.

My Interpretation"I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me/I'm not calling you a thief, just don't steal from me..." - She doesn't care what her lover has done, just as long as he doesn't do them to her, and she doesn't want to know; listen to the original version of this, Don't Tell Me, "Don't tell me what you've done." Pretty obvious really.
"I'm not calling you a ghost, just stop haunting me" - The 'haunting' says to me that she can't get away from him, whether it's his intentions or her not being able to let go.
"There's a ghost in my lung and it sighs in my sleep..." - He is controlling her (again, whether it is his intention or hers isn't clear), and whatever her does leads her to fall at his feet.
"There but for the grace of God go I" - This is a common phrase that basically means that somebody elses misfortunes could've just as easily happened to you

General Comment...huh? Your version is Don't Tell Me, which is basically a demo for this. It's discussed in the comments for Don't Tell Me. x

General CommentI think this was "I'm not calling you a liar," Ghosts must have been the original name. Great, that makes this confusing.
