To find the strength to carry on
You put the marks into your body
You talk at length how you're alone
And bitch at all the famous parties

Such of a vision of pure loneliness
What an image you profess
Don't you turn and walk away
'cause you're getting me depressed

In hopes you'll never be alone
You bore your cross around your body
It was in bad taste
Immolent and gaudy

Boy, are you familiar?

Your vision of the loneliness
Adds an image to the press
You turn and walk away 'cause you're happily depressed
Inventing your own love loss
You invent your own success
I'm giving you a name boy,
You're poor Role Martyr X

Your visions of the loneliness
Like the ones that predeceased
Return in other ways when you're pleasantly suppressed.
Unlimited in your loneliness
You're a ringer for success
I hope you find your pain,
our poor Role Martyr X

Get your gun!
Get it?
Get your gun!
Get it?
Get your gun!
Get it?
Get your gun!
And get away from me,
Go...

One takes one, get it?
One makes one,
Is it one hates one?
Is it, one eats one.
To think a way for me.

So were the visions of pure loneliness from an image on T.V.?
Don't turn and walk away,
boy, you're depressed so happily
Inventing your own love loss,
Envisioning success
I hope you die of pain, oh, poor Role Martyr X

In your envisionary loneliness
there’s a pattern that repeats;
I really hate to say this;
there’s a similarity.
pontificating loves lost,
He bitches when he’s blessed;
your living is in vain boy,
poor Role Martyr-X

Since I am the most humble
I am the most humble
I am the most humble man in the world

I am the most humble
I am the most humble
I am the most humble man in the world

    General CommentThey look right just using my eye, I was just coming here to post them, there's a couple small differences I have from you, none of which are anything major...

    The line you're missing however is :

    "It was in bad taste,
    Immolent and gaudy"

    General CommentOh, the one other one I forgot, in the first verse, the 2nd half of it is :

    "You talk at length how you're alone" instead of "You talk it like it, though youre alone"

    General CommentActually scratch that, there are a bunch of differences between ours, so I'll just post mine and see what people think :

    To find the strength to carry on,
    you put the marks into your body;

    You talk at length how you’re alone,
    and bitch at all the famous parties;

    Such a vision of pure loneliness!
    What an image you profess!
    Don’tcha turn and walk away,
    ‘cause, you’re getting me depressed.

    In hopes you’d never be alone,
    you bore your cross around your body;

    It was in bad taste,
    immolent and gaudy;

    Boy, you, look familiar?

    You’re a vision of the loneliness,
    add an image to the press;
    Ya turn and walk away,
    ‘cause you’re happily depressed;
    Inventing your own love loss,
    you invent your own success;
    I’m giving you a name boy,
    you’re poor Role Martyr-X;

    You’re a vision of our loneliness,
    like the ones that predecessed;
    Return in other ways,
    when they’re pleasantly suppressed;
    Unlimited in lowliness,
    you’re a ringer for success;
    I hope you find your pain boy,
    our poor Role Martyr-X;

    Get your gun, get it?
    Get your gun, get it!
    Get your gun, get it?
    Get your gun and get away from me!
    Go!

    One takes one, get it?
    One makes one,
    Is it one hates one?
    Is it, one eats one?
    To make a way for me;

    You are just like me,
    just get away from me,
    to make a way for me;

    So were the visions of your loneliness,
    from an image on TV;
    Don’t turn and walk away,
    you’re depressed so happily;
    Inventing your own love lost,
    envisioning success;
    I hope you die of pain, our,
    poor Role Martyr-X;

    In a visionarial loneliness,

    General CommentI've spent a lot of time with this song. It's actually one of my favorites off of the album. I get the feeling that in this song J. is speaking about himself. Through reflection he has given himself the title of Poor Role Martyr-X.

    General CommentOK, I was somewhat wrong. It is not entirely about self reflection (i.e., him singing to the side of himself that he hates). He's actually singing about a person he hates. However, he realizes that there's a little of that person in him.

    From a live show - (J's intro to the song) "This is a little reminder that no matter how badly you hate somebody there's always something in you that's a little like them."
