I'm not the king of confrontation
But if I have to knock you down, I will
O-oh, I am the mountain and you are the hill
She told you once before, so let it be, let it be
I don't wanna get involved, so don't test me, so don't test me

Well, I know that you've been watching her from a distance
But I've told you once, I've told you twice that she's mine
And as I lay down this law there better not be no resistance
'Cause I've gotten through bigger men than you just to get to a fight

And I'm not tryin' to be Mr. Hard-ass, 'cause I don't want enemies
And if you wanna be cool that's cool with me
Just don't stare her down or write her letters, 'cause it creeps her out
And it's makin' me mad, yeah, it's makin' me mad

And you don't know what we have
You just wish you did
And maybe you should find something better to do
'Cause I don't want no trouble
It's the last thing I need
So don't test me, don't test me

I see her everyday and hold her in my arms
And your obsession could never be stronger than my charm
And if you need someone because you're lonely, lonely
There's a thousand lonely people out there

And I'm losing sleep at night, freakin' out, thinkin' you're crazy
And wonderin' when you're gonna kill me, but then again I'm not afraid to die
I just don't want Amanda to get hurt; that's why I'm warning you
And if the shit hits the fan you're mine (oh)

You don't know what we have
You just wish you did
And maybe you should find something better to do
And I don't want no trouble
It's the last thing I need
So don't test me, don't test me

Song Meaningobviously about a guy who is in a happy relationship with Amanda but this other guy just won't let the fact that she's taken by someone else go. the singer is telling him as understandingly as possible to stay away from his girl.
