"Marche Funèbre" as written by and Anja Plaschg....
Grow tall skin, fold on
they said, rank the wall
I say, bad weeds grow tall
Hold on skin
they said, rank the wall
I say, bad weeds grow tall

High I walk through firewall
Bad weeds grow tall
Fall, fall
Bad weeds grow tall
Hold on skin, fold on
They said, rank the wall
I say, bad weeds grow tall

General CommentI think she's saying "break the wall," not "rank the wall." I think she's talking about how, although the custom of altruism typically propagated by western culture begs us to be open and share ourselves with others very openly, she's saying that we should "grow tall skin," or rather a protective barrier around ourselves, allowing in only the precious few that have proven worthy of our trust, because "bad weeds grow tall."

Dark and brooding, but I love this one- especially the "Yrasor" version of the song found on the Marche Funèbre EP.

My InterpretationI always have the image of a person in a cult repeating these words in their head. The leaders are trying to "build walls" to keep this person in but they are the bad weed and bad weeds grow tall; they will escape. "Grow tall skin" meaning to grow thick skin to not believe the lies, perhaps?

Maybe the word "cult" doesn't work here. The Yrasor version has the Catholic rosary in it. Perhaps this person is trying to escape the Pope and his minions? Maybe it's a nun! Ha.
