I want to know what’s been going on
What’s around the block
I’d like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head

Seeming seamless it was never easy enough
To keep a smile thin while they pushed in the bed
Feeling fearless it was never easy enough
To figure friends from foes
And so the story goes

I want to know what’s been going on
What’s around the block
I’d like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head
Oh oh oh to make the most
Of those hollow bones we become
Whoah oh
I raise a toast to the songs I’ve sang all alone

Feeling fearless it was never easy enough
To keep my feet on ground
And my head out of the clouds

I want to know what’s been going on
What’s around the block
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head
I hope to make the most
Of all those hollow bones we become
Whoah oh oh
I raise a toast to the songs I’ve sang all alone

I’ve been gathering friends just make a sound
Before the ship goes down
And I’ve been making amends by making the rounds
Before the whole world ends
And I’ve been gathering friends just to make some sound
Before the ship goes down

I want to know what’s been going on
What’s around the block
I’d like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head
I hope to make the most to all those hollow bones we become
We all can raise a toast
To all the songs we’ve sang all along
I hope to make the most
We all can raise a toast

I’d like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head

General CommentI love this song. My favorite line is "I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head"

To me, this song is about living life to the fullest because you never know what might happen and you might as well live a good life before you die. This can be seen in lines like: I hope to make a toast to all those hallow bones we become ...or... "I've been gathering friends just to make some sound before the ship goes down."
