"Climbing Up The Walls" as written by and Timothy Z./harmon Mosley....
I keep seein' your face
When my eyes are closed.
I'm rememberin' how it used to go.
All the medicated
Nearly comatose.
A bullet out of your head
Is it on that road?

So much in your mind
When you kill more than time.
You're sinking so low thinking you will be high.
Biting your lip while you're losing your mind.
Alone. God knows

You're climbing up the walls.
You're just climbing up the walls.
You're climbing up the walls.

Now you're reaching that age
Where you should know.
How to figure it out
Out on your own.
On the far side of town
Is a room you love.
Started tearin' it down.
To get you to follow

So much in your mind
When you kill more than time.
You're sinking so low thinking you will be high.
Biting your lip while you're losing your mind.
Alone. God knows

You're climbing up the walls.
You're just climbing up the walls.
You're climbing up the walls.

The world won't rise and ease your crying.
If you do nothing
If you do nothing
The world won't try to change your mind.
If you don't change at all.

You're climbing up the walls.
You're just climbing up the walls.
You're climbing up the walls.

Drunk. He's fast asleep.
He's so tired. Makes me weep.
He stays up all night workin' on his songs.
But then I guess we all do the same thing.
He's sleepy

General CommentHeard this song for the first time today.
The track is used on an Esquire video with Megan Fox.
    Hot video and great song.
    It's very catchy.

General Commentthere are quite a few good songs on scream, i shunned it until i saw him play some live and gave it another listen. i think this one is about his battle for sobriety, looking back on old times and where he is today.

Song FactThe segue from Climbing up the Walls into Wake Up, which lyrics are included at the end here, actually aren't correct. Neither are the song credits.

Chris was just messing around in the studio, and Jerome Harmon (JROC), one of the song writers (and Timbaland's production partners) had fallen asleep. His little snooze resulted in the little dittie.

    Jerome is fast asleep
He's so tired, makes me weep
He stays up all night, workin' on songs
But then I guess we all do the same thing...
    He still asleep?

General CommentThe only okay song off Cornell's latest album... the rest of the songs were just terrible.
Still, the song would sound better with real guitars and drums.
