"Any Means Necessary" as written by and Joacim Anders/dronjak Cans....
I won't pull the trigger, just to see you die
No remedy to make me come alive
I'm ticking like a time bomb, no fuse just guts and gore
Initiate the burning of the core

I count down to zero, pull the trigger, no parole
No mercy no mercy on your soul

Kill by any means necessary
Win by any means necessary
Live by any means necessary
Die by any means necessary

I am not judgmental
A sinner nor a saint
'Cause either you're my best friend or you ain't

Come gather here around me
Feel my breath under your skin
I'm deadly only when I'm getting caught

I count down to zero, I'm a soldier without soul
No mercy, no mercy on your soul

Kill by any means necessary
Win by any means necessary
Live by any means necessary
Die by any means necessary

I am born to kill, judge and condemn
I am born to win, slay and maim 'em
I am born to live, fight for glory
I am born to die

Kill
Win
Live
Die

Kill by any means necessary
Win by any means necessary
Live by any means necessary
Die by any means necessary

I am born to kill, judge and condemn
I am born to win, slay and maim 'em
I am born to live, fight for glory
I am born to die, memento mori
I am born to kill, judge and condemn
I am born to win, slay and maim 'em
I am born to live, fight for glory
I am born to die, memento mori

My OpinionThis is the first song I've heard from Hammerfall. I became mesmerized by the style of this song. It was sure lucky of me to click on it when browsing through music related to In Flames.

General CommentThis seems like two things for me:

    1) It's a typical brutally awesome HammerFall song about knights fighting for glory blah blah blah ...

    2) It's a politically aware song about war ?

    Great song anyways !

My InterpretationThe meaning of this song as I listened and looked into meant quite a few things:

1: Could be talking about the russian soldiers that were conscripts that fought in world war 2 who were forced to attack and is killed when running away from fighting. As the song says "Kill by Any Means Necessary" and "Win by Any Means Necessary" which means to kill and to win.

2: Another world war 2 interpretation, This one talks about the axis and more specifically the Japanese Kamikaze Pilots who suicided for the emperor. Again like what songs says: "To Kill by any means neccessary", To Win By any means necessary" and to Die by any means necessary". The Pilots have to dive for glory in planes to battleships and cruisers to win and to kill and to die.

3: This one talks about the Samurai's. If you are a samurai back then, You have to die for the emperor and if you lose a task or a battle you must commit Seppuku (pronounced as Se=pong=Ku) which is die with honnor for committing sin against the emperor. Another name for seppuku is hara-kiri. Same concept. The song gives words like last time, To kill, To Die,To win by any means necessary.

I have more ideas but it would take to long. Hope this helps think what this song is giving meaning to.
