"Train Song" as written by Christopher Hillman and Gram Parsons....
Travelling north, travelling north to find you
Train wheels beating, the wind in my eyes
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you
Call out your name love, don't be surprised

It's so many miles and so long since I've left you
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you
But suddenly now, I know where I belong
It's many hundred miles and it won't be long

Nothing at all, in my head, to say to you
Only the beat of the train I'm on
Nothing I've learned all my life on the way to you
One day our love was over and gone

It's so many miles and so long since I've met you
Don't even know what I'll say when I get to you
But suddenly now, I know where I belong
It's many hundred miles and it won't be long

What will I do if there's someone there with you
Maybe someone you've always known
How do I know I can come and give to you
Love with no warning and find you alone

It's so many miles and so long since I've met you
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you
But suddenly now, I know where I belong
It's many hundred miles and it won't be long

It won't be long
It won't be long
It won't be long

General CommentDark Was the Night is probably the best selection of indie artists ever put together in one album to create a compilation of truly original new music and new takes on old songs. This song in particular is my favorite of the whole album, i can really relate to it and i love the ghostly sound it has as well as the guitar chord, the combination of singing voices from Feist and Ben Gibbard are perfect.

General CommentI do love this version of this song, but I think it is important to note that it is a cover of a Vashti Bunyan song from 1966.

General CommentOn another note i forgot to mention its actually refreshing and nice to hear Ben Gibbard singing for once on a song rather than just saying a line of a lyric, pausing and then saying another line of a lyric, if i have any criticism of his singing it would be that and it can sometimes be an irritation on certain Death Cab for Cuttie tracks.

My OpinionThis song is so beautiful. They both have great voices. And Ben in his verse - damn that was amazing.

    I need this album- now.
