I never loved blues 'til Stevie Ray Vaughan
I never felt you 'til you were gone
And all of my shadows grow taller than trees
And all of my good mean nothing to me

Don't let go
Never say
I told you so
Yeah

If there was a word, what I did to myself
And all the longing, but nothing else
If there was a word for longing and peace
Until you give me some sweet release
Ohhahhhohhhh
I'll let go
I'll let go
Yeah

(Chorus)
You can't say we didn't give it
Can't say we didn't try
We can't say we didn't give it all the way
You can't say we didn't sing it
Every single night
Can't say we didn't give it all the way

Find another girl

And all the statues that keep with the park
Beg for light fall after dark
And all the bones sing just one more day
I didn't never do it all the way

(Chorus)
You can't say we didn't give it
Can't say we didn't try
We can't say we didn't give it all the way
You can't say we didn't sing it
Every single night
Can't say we didn't give it all the way

I never loved blues 'til Stevie Ray Vaughan
I never felt you 'til you were gone
And all of my shadows grow taller than trees
And all of my blues mean nothing to me

Ohhhhhhhhhh

Yeah

Oooohhhhhhhhhhhh

(Chorus)
You can't say we didn't give it
Can't say we didn't try
We can't say we didn't give it all the way
You can't say we did the limit
Every single night
Can't say we didn't sing it all the way

I think this is one of 3eb's greatest since Blinded. He's singing about a relationship that he ended and now he regrets ending it. And he's saying how he thought it was the right thing to do at the time, but now he's "longing" for her, and wanting her to forgive him and give him "some sweet release" but she refuses.

And at the chorus he's saying how they tried to much and so hard to make it work but in the end it just wasn't working for him. And now he has to convince himself to find another girl because he ruined it.

However, in the same respect, I could see this song as a song about how he got dumped and is trying to figure out the reasoning behind it because they worked so hard to make it.

I love the lyrics "i never loved blues til stevie ray vaughn i never felt you til you were gone" because it's too often you don't realize what you have until it's gone and really, i think that's the true meaning of this song.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
