"Anyone In Love" as written by Alexander Paul Kapranos Huntley, Nicholas John Mccarthy, Robert Hardy and Paul Robert Thompson....
Above the fold of covers
Ten thousand volts hit
Where her arm fell accidentally
But she didn't move it
Despite the singing skin
You didn't move yours either did you though?

Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were

What other people call passion
Is one frame of your film
One frame seen accidentally
How could a love like this one
Remain among us
It was a love that had to
Had to leave

Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were

Don't be surprised if there's a book about it
Based roughly on a film about it
Something on your TV about it
And, then, now, a song about it
Alright

Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were

Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were
Never knew anyone in love
The way that you were

Never knew anyone
Never knew anyone
Never knew anyone
Never knew anyone
Never knew anyone
In love

General CommentI love this song. I saw them play it at the Grand Ole Opry in Glasgow.

I think this song is about the sexual tension when sex was more taboo than it is now. Their arms accidentally brushing and 10,000 volts passing between them could show that they know it's frowned upon and they should move back, but they don't want to.

General CommentI think that this song is about a forbidden love. They love eachother, but this love has to dissappear (How could a love like this one Remain among us It was a love that had to Had to leave), even if this love is strong ( never knew anyone in love like you were). That would explain the part with the book, the film and the song: there are thausends of such stories ( don't be surprised that....)

    Anyway a great song =)
